You Never Stop Finding Yourself

I don't care what anyone says, finding yourself is a life-long journey.

You Never Stop Finding Yourself

Do you ever find yourself sitting in your car, playlist on shuffle, and putting all the weight of your fate in the next song? Do you start driving with no aim in destination, but just to get away?

We're always looking for something more, as Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper once sang in a far more eloquent way than how I'm writing this. But, that's not always a bad thing. You should motivate yourself to find more than just the mundane routine of the same old crowd, scenery, and happenings. You're more than the ground you're standing on, and there's more to you than how people perceive you.

You're a pencil in a sharpener, constantly shedding layers until you've resolved to your finest point. I wasn't going to go for the obvious onion reference, because that's been played out...ahem, Michael Myers. Anyhow, you're constantly on the path to another chapter in your life. You're in transition to constant change.

One would argue that people never change. To which I say, people hardly ever change. People have the ability to change, but on their own account. They must be seeking said change, improvements, or opportunities. People change because they desire change. They don't change willingly on unpredictable circumstances. People are reluctant to change when it's not on their own.

To continue, people constantly are flicking through chapters in their lives. Things are ever changing.

If people don't expect you to change, they're dead mistaken. It's good to morph into different things, especially if its who you want to be. Don't be fearful of change and continue to find yourself. What you want now is not necessarily what you'll want later, so don't get too caught up in the tribulations of right now. Live in the moment, and take risks every time you can. It's not fair to you to be too afraid to get on and change.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
