Never Let A New Chapter In Life Go Unopened

New chapters in life come in all shapes and sizes. One thing they all have in common though is that a new chapter in life is a mixture of emotions. Never let that deter you from seeing what it might have in store for you.

Initially opening up a new chapter in life is terrifying. Not knowing what the future has in store for you makes your mind wander down many paths that lead to overthinking about the possibilities it has and overanalyzing which path to take. Asking yourself what is right versus what is wrong, telling yourself that things will pan out the way they are supposed to when you are at your most anxious and reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason when things do not always go your way become common thoguhts. Fear of the unknown has held me back more times than I can think of. Taking on every aspect of a new chapter, especially the scary parts, with ambition and bravery will get your further and further towards the goals you want to accomplish.

Next, a new chapter becomes exciting. As the idea of new experiences and the multitude of possibilities open to you becomes more of a reality, a new chapter can become something you look forward to. As a new chapter opens you can make decisions that you might have never thought about before, or had always been hesitant about making because of some other circumstances. That is the beauty of it all, those worries are pushed aside to make room for new and exciting experiences. Being able to try things that have always taken a backseat compared to others in the past is a whole new kind of adrenaline high.

Once a new phase in life sets in, it's refreshing. Nothing is better than a clean slate. New ideas, new people, new places, new everything lies ahead when opening up a new chapter in your life. You can reinvent yourself into the person you want to be. The decisions that you make in this new chapter are yours to hold with you as you decide what the best path is for you to take.

This cycle repeats itself many times in life. I saw it repeat itself when I started high school and college. Whatever new experience you take on, use the next new phase in your life to take all that is given to you and make the most of it. No matter how much the unknown freaks you out, never close a chapter before it can begin.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
