More than likely you don't remember the first time you saw your mom, breathed, laughed, or even cried. But tell me what do you remember? Think back to the days where you only had three feelings, laughter, sadness, and hunger (of coarse). Let every little moment of your childhood flash through your head, and think about what your five year old self would think about who you are today.
Look back on the days that you were too short to reach anything, so the taller person would always be there to bring it down to you. Those were the days that you relied on your role model for help at all hours. But soon realized that it didn't matter how you were going to get it, only that if you set your mind to it, you'd get there somehow. Those were the days that your dreams were endless, and even the sky wasn't your limit.
Remember when you saw everyone as who they were, everyone was just "someone". Whether it was the mailman, your mom, or even the moon. Everyone and everything was just the way it was suppose to be in your eyes, nothing more, or nothing less. You didn't have any idea of words like, different, weird, ugly, or even pretty. Your five year old heart couldn't have been any brighter.
Think back to rushing out the door any chance you could get, because being outside was far more fun then being in this thing mom called a home. Your imagination was at it's peak, so much that the plain jungle became a world full of animals. The swing set became your own personal airplane, and imaginary friends were the only ones who knew your so called "secrets".
Every time grandma came over you were just excited to see what kind of goodies she was bringing this time. Didn't ever think about whether or not that cookie would have an impact on your sleeping tonight (or moms). No one told you to not eat something because it might affect your weight or looks. For all you knew, "looks" weren't even a thing.
Then their were the tickle fights, now those were the only type of fighting you understood. It was a pure battle of who could get the most laughter out of the opponent first. It was the most innocent form of fighting, and by far the best times of your life, until someone peed their pants.
Growing up is by far one of the most stressful things, and one of the most life altering (obviously). But that doesn't mean that all of the messed up things in this world should change your ideas and beliefs. Stay true to yourself, and always choose love.

Kiki
