9 Shows to Binge Watch on Netflix

I'm always looking for new shows to watch online and on Netflix. Here's a list of TV shows that I've watched and thought were pretty good. Maybe you're bored or maybe you're procrastinating on your homework. If you're looking for a show to watch or maybe even go back to watching, here's a few to get you started.

1. Vampire Diaries

Vampire Diaries came out in 2009. It's crazy to think that was TEN years ago. I first started watching this show when it originally came out but never finished it. I recently got back to watching this show and finally finished it. There are 8 seasons filled with plot twists and love stories so if you're looking for a show to binge watch, this one definitely has a lot of episodes for you.

2. Shameless

Shameless came out in 2011 and also has 8 seasons. The second part of season 9 is airing this month so you better start binge-watching soon. This show is about a dysfunctional family, so if you're looking for more of a comedy, check this one out.

3. Riverdale

Riverdale is a new show, it premiered in 2017. There's only 2 seasons on Netflix but season 3 is currently airing. Since there are not too many seasons, this is one you can quickly get caught up on.

4. One Tree Hill

I realized this one is no longer on Netflix, but it's definitely one to find and binge watch. It came out in 2003 and was on until 2012. People at my high school always talked about this one but I never got around to watching it until a couple years ago. There are 9 seasons and this is another one to watch if you've got a lot of time on your hands.

5. The Fosters

There are 5 seasons and they're all on Netflix. The Fosters aired 2013-2018, and there's also a spin-off series called Good Trouble that just premiered so there's a bonus show for you as well.

6. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

This one came out in the fall of 2018. There's only one season on Netflix but season 2 is supposed to air in the spring so you better get caught up. It's an adaptation of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and there are also mentions of the Riverdale show so watch out for those connections.

7. Criminal Minds

Criminal Minds aired in 2005 and is still going on their 14th season. There are currently 12 seasons of Criminal Minds on Netflix and season 14 is currently airing on TV. There's going to be a 15th and final season as well. If you love crime shows, this is a great one. You can watch these in order, but honestly, you don't HAVE to.

8. Switched at Birth

Switched at Birth aired on TV 2011-2017. There are 5 seasons and they're all on Netflix. The show is about two teen girls who find out they were accidentally switched at birth. They find out during high school and have been living two very different lives. They realize how different their lives could've been if they had never been switched. The girls become not only friends but family as well.

9. Stranger Things

Stranger Things aired in 2016 and currently has 2 seasons, both on Netflix. It's a supernatural, science-fiction show based in the 1980s. If you get caught up, there is a third season airing this summer starting in July.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
