Gather around my fellow Netflix lovers; 2016 is about to be a fantastic year. Maybe you're like me, and you've been in search of a new show that will have you on the edge or your seat for the next dramatic episode (or should I say have you curled up in your bed refusing to move until the end of the season) and you've found yourself in great disappointment because nothing you find compares to "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," "New Girl," "One Tree Hill," or any of those go-to drama-filled and timeless classics. Never fear, I have compiled a list of Netflix Original shows coming out in the new year that you are bound to find yourself glued to with your midnight snack in one hand and your unhealthy soda drink in the other. Here we go.
"The Get Down."
This series is about New York being on edge of bankruptcy, and out came hip-hop, punk and disco.
"Fuller House."
If you haven't heard about this one I have to say I'm ashamed. Fuller House is basically the sequel to "Full House," the show we all grew up loving. I can say that I will without a doubt be watching this one.
"Flaked."
This is a show about some besties living in California and a strange love triangle emerges, complicating everything. Can you say drama?
"Love."
Is a series about just what the title says: love! It will be a down-to-earth look at dating, evaluating different perspectives on love and life and all that entails.
"Mascots."
We all love to watch a good competition, am I right? Stay tuned to watch the ultimate competition to see who is crowned best mascot in the world.
"Stranger Things."
This thriller-drama duo sounds like the show everyone will be talking about. A mother's son goes missing and she has to face scary consequences to get him back.
"Special Correspondents."
This is about a New York radio journalist who is giving fake war reports from Manhattan. Check in with this series to see what happens with this interesting story line.
"The Crown."
Where are all of my royal family lovers out there? Maybe you're team William or maybe you like Harry a bit more, this series is a story about the British royal family.
"War Machine."
This series is about just what the title says: war. The show delves into modern war and all that it encompasses and the lives that it changes.
