Netflix Induced Coma

When it comes to picking what to start on Netflix, sometimes it's better to leave it up to someone else.

This is not a drill people. Winter is upon us and yes you know what that means...

So grab your snuggie (those are still a thing right) and a nice hot mug of adult style hot chocolate, because things are about to get frosty.

Snow days and winter break are in the near future people. Try and contain your excitement. With that being said, boredom will set in pretty fast. But have no fear my friends, I have a solution that can fix that problem.

Binge watching series on series.

Here are 10 of my personal favorite Netflix Tv shows:

1. How To Get Away With Murder

Five law students are in for a ride of their life. Some people really do kill to have certain professors.

It's not only going to keep you on the edge of the couch, but it might have you spitting your hot chocolate out of your nose. It'll have you throwing out law terms like you actually attended Harvard Law.

2. Private Practice

Addison starts over, makes a new name for herself, and even finds a few new McDreamies.

ATTENTION GREY'S ANATOMY FANS: if you love the show, you will love the spin off. Addison and Amelia are two familiar faces of the show. Don't worry, Private Practice doesn't involve seasons on seasons of disasters, but it will still rip your heart out the same.

3. How I Met Your Mother

All Ted wants in life is his friends, beer, and to find love.

You will laugh, you will cry and you will laugh so hard you cry. Each character you will see a little piece of yourself and it'll pull on your heart strings. Lets just say the show is Legendary. Watch it, you'll understand.

4. Dexter

Against all odds, Dexter tries to make the world a better place.

Who doesn't love a show with twists and turn and a killer killing killers. You heard that right. Dexter will become your favorite good bad guy. You will cuss and scream and then question what just happened through out the whole series. Trust me.

5. Breakout Kings

With freedom being the one thing on their mind, they must catch the nations worst criminals. Again.

Another show about bad guys catching bad guys. If your into a show with snarky remarks, sass, and gun fire, then this is the show for you. I think the gif says it all.

Intermission time. Grab your popcorn, chips, buffalo chicken dip, or a glass of wine and get ready to laugh so hard your stomach will hurt.

6. Mysteries of Laura

Catching killers, working with your ex-husband, and raising twin boys, which is worse? For Detective Diamond, depends on the day.

Face it, we all love food, don't you dare deny it. We have all been where Laura there has been. This show is not your every day law and order. Laura is sassy, witty, and frankly bad ass. She speaks her mind and thinks outside of the box to get the job done.

7. Jane the Virgin

Imagine you haven't been feeling well and in the morning you wake up and barf, eat lunch and barf and finally go to the doctor to find out... BOOM baby. Say it ain't so, you've never had sex.

Well that is Jane's life. One mistake from a drunk distraught girly doctor changes the life of sweet innocent Jane forever.

8. Criminal Minds

This show required two gifs. Enough said. Just watch it, you will not be disappointed.

This show will make you lose your mind. You will start season one episode one and then not even realize you are half way through season four. One reason to watch Criminal minds, Derek Morgan and his "baby girl". Okay, maybe not the only reason but it's a good one.

9. Blue Mountain State

Alright Brobeans, to the goat house!

If you are into comedy shows that are offensive and raunchy BMS is the show for you. It hilarious and reminds you why drugs are bad.

10. House

Everyone lies and it is never lupus.

House is far from Grey's Anatomy. Dr. House speaks his mind no matter how offensive it is. He's arrogant and bull headed but when it comes to it, he always gets the medical "W".

Now pace yourself this winter and enjoy some Netflix induced laughs, but also go outside and build a snowman or two.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
