Alright girls and boys, today we are going to talk about nail trends. Who doesn’t love a fresh set of nails? You can basically wear sweats and uggs and look good. Simple outfits go from a 10 to an 11. And who doesn’t love the feeling of acrylic nails when they are typing on a keyboard?
Ahhhh the reds. A personal favorite of mine. Red nails are back at it, being a classy and reliable color. It’s my go-to color, because red goes with everything. Sure, sparkly purple is fun, but who shows up to a job interview with glittery nails? Okay, me, but it was one time! Instead of going for a bright red color, go for a deep burgundy. If you are pale skinned, I suggest going for red that has purple or blue undertones.
Shiny, futuristic blue’s are back, baby! Sparkly blue nails are great, because they look good on every skin tone. They also add a pop of color for those of us who like to dress on the dark side in the fall. This color is great for those who like to wear minimal makeup, as it looks particularly striking against neutral eyeshadow and no eyemakeup.
All of my artsy, talented people, I got a nail look that’s just up your alley. Splatter nails are a great way to show your artistic side. Paint your nails grey, and then select up to three colors. Grab some toothpicks (once your nails are dry), and begin to put the colors on haphazardly, in squiggles and dots. Don’t make it look neat! Remember to wait for each color to dry before putting the next color on.
Camel colored nails say, “Oohh look at me, I’m professional and sophisticated!” It’s the perfect color for those who want done-up nails, but want something simple. Camel colored nails are great because they don’t require a lot of maintenance, so those with a busy lifestyle don’t have to worry about touch-ups.
With dark greens being in this season, you can expect the color would grace this list. Dark and olive greens are the perfect color. You can dress it up or dress it down. There are also varying shades of green, so you can pick the one you like best. Personally, I like to go with a matte dark green, with turquoise and blue undertones. Hunter green is also one of my top picks, because it’s high fashion and chic, without being out of most people’s comfort zones. Green is a calming color, so if you're having a stressful day, you can just look down at your nails and feel zen.
