To My Best Friends,
I know we’re starting to take our separate paths in life, but I want you to know that you mean the world to me no matter where in the world you are.
I’ll be the first to admit that I stink at communicating. I might always have my phone in my hand, but texting back is not my strong suit. Friendship came a lot easier when we were only a few miles apart. Interstates and my worthless texting skills may separate us, but you’re always in my heart and a late night drive away.
Thank you for only being a call away. I know how much of an emotional wreck I can be most of the time. There’s no way I could survive without my best friends to call at any time. I know I may not keep in touch as much as I need to, but I know I can call at any hour for a life catch up.
Please know that I will always be there to do the same. I know we’re all going in different directions, and I know we will make new friends (because we’re totally awesome); but that doesn’t mean you’re not worth a phone call or a visit.
You’re truly worth more than gold. I can’t wait to see how far you go in life. If you ever feel like you aren’t good enough, I promise you are. My life is so much better off because you stepped into it, and I can’t even thank you enough for that. I know you can make such an impact on the world because of the impact you have made on my life.
“A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself – and especially to feel, or not to feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That’s what real love amounts to-- "letting a person be what he really is.” – Jim Morrison
I’ve found this to be so true. I couldn’t ask for better friends through this season of my life. Whether I felt like eating ice cream in sorrow or shopping just to have fun, you’ve always been there. You’ll always be there. Regardless of distance; regardless of time.
Thank you for loving me thus far. I know I’m an absolute mess, but I promise I’m a mess who loves you a whole lot.
P.S. Thank you for putting up with a whole lot of sass from such a little person.
-Your sassy, short friend
