To my younger sisters,
I never believed people when they said: "I promise y'all will get so close when you get older." Honestly, I don't think any of us did consider we would fight over the way one of us was breathing, sitting, or looking at one another. I am going to be honest- we hated each other. Well, we hated each other for like 10 minutes. Swearing we were never going to talk to each other and that we wished we were never sisters, but making up 5 minutes after arguing.
Never forget fighting over who got the front seat, who got the aux, or "Why are you wearing my shirt without asking???" It's kinda funny looking at all of the things we fight about daily because ultimately I think it's what made us closer.
I wouldn't trade the bond we have for the world. I seriously don't now what I would do without y'all. While I may be someone y'all look up to, just know you both have been 2 of the biggest blessings in my life. I look at your accomplishments and attitudes and it inspires me more and more each day. You'll never know how thankful I am that God made us sisters.
I hope you both learn from my mistakes but follow your own dreams. You don't have to follow every step I take. Make your own decisions and live your life confidently. Just know no matter what I will always be there for you and support you every step of the way. I wouldn't want to go through life with anyone else.
We have each other to lean on, face our fears and problems with, and even have each other to laugh with. Nothing beats our inside jokes and memories we have with each other.
College has taught me more life lessons than I could ever imagine. One of those being never to take your family for granted. They will always be your biggest support system. No matter what life throws your way or where it takes you, they will always be by your side supporting you. That being said, I hope y'all realize how much I appreciate both of you and know that even though it's just 80 miles down the road I know it seems like a lifetime away. I am only one phone call away, always.
'I thank my God every time I remember you' (Philippians 1:3).
With love,
Your Big Sister
