7 Places To Add To Your Travel List

Traveling is something my boyfriend and I are extremely passionate about. August of 2016 was my first time out of the country and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. After that trip I decided to start a list of places I'd like to travel to starting in New York, then out of state, then out of the country, and finally returning to places that I traveled to in 2016. Here's a what I consider "my travel list."

1. Watkins Glen State Park

Located in New York near the finger lakes, it's a place of natural beauty and history. It is fully controlled by NY State Parks Department and is open to the public everyday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

2. The Florida Keys

The Florida Keys are an archipelago of islands just off the southern tip of Florida. To get to the keys you take the "Overseas Highway" a pretty cool addition to take along your trip. Of course, we have to make a Disney/Universal pit stop.

3. Canada

Vancouver

Montreal

Just a few of the popular tourist destinations in Canada. I would also like to visit Toronto and Niagara Falls. Canada has numerous points of interest such as, CN Tower and the Canadian Rockies. It's definitely a place to fall in love with nature.

4. Bora Bora

A trip I've been absolutely itching to take. An island located in the French Polynesia, Northwest of Tahiti. The huts located on the water have glass floors so you can see fish swimming in the beautiful crystal blue ocean.

5. St. Marten

Maho Beach

Beautiful beaches located in Caribbean. The most popular beach is Maho Beach known for it's low flying planes that are approaching landing.

6. Switzerland

This is where I went during the summer, Lugano, Switzerland. I can not wait to travel here again. It was beautiful. The house are built in to the sides of the mountains located around the surrounding lake, as seen above.

7. California

San Diego

Los Angeles

I would love to travel all of California. There is literally so much to do. I've never been before and the biggest draw for me is In-N-Out Burger, I heard it is a must try.

I would love to travel the world, and these are a few places I'd love to start. I'd love to go to every state in the U.S. and Greece, Spain, England, etc. Traveling is important to me. It is important to learn other peoples cultures, immerse your self in their world, wear their clothing, learn their language, and eat their food. There is beauty in everything and it is important to go out and find it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
