Halloween has to be one of my favorite holidays. The candy, the fact that it is in my favorite season (Fall), dressing up in costumes, and of course, the movies. Halloween movies are some of the funniest, most creative films out there, and here are my top 10.

1. Halloween Town

If you don't like Halloween Town there is SERIOUSLY something wrong with you. Not only is the idea of it super original, but its just a great movie for the holiday. Witches and monsters and everything good about Halloween combined into one film.

2. Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktacular

Scary Godmother is my favorite animated Halloween film. Of course we've all heard about Fairy Godmothers, like Cinderella's, but to have a Scary Godmother is probably a Halloween lovers dream! Where can I find mine?

3. Twitches

Twitches? Twin? Witches. TWITCHES. Tia and Tamera Mowry are the perfect duo for this film, and they knock it out of the park. The two join forces to defeat darkness and help their families. Who doesn't love darkness-fighting, strong, female movie leads?

4. Halloween Town High

Right before the dramatic actor change for the main character Marnie for the next movie, this is, in my opinion, the last great Halloween Town movie. It's the third in a fantastic line of movies, and a definite must see.

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

There is the age old debate of when you're supposed to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. Is it a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? The answer is simple: Sandy Clause might have a large role in the movies plot, but the Pumpkin King is the star. Halloween is the way to go.

6. The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It

A Disney original movie, and another personal favorite. Emily Osment is the main character in this movie, but she's not the normal, peppy girl we remember from Hannah Montana. She takes on a different role in this scary/spoopy Halloween movie!

7. Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie

This honestly gave me nightmares when I was little, but the songs in it are so catchy its hard not to like, especially when it stars everyone's favorite, honey-loving bear, POOH!

8. Freddy VS. Jason

Okay, now unlike all the other movies listed above, this is an actual scary movie, and not specifically for Halloween. However, a scary movie is a Halloween movie to me, so that's why Freddy Kruegar and Jason make the Top 10.

9. Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire

An oldie but a goodie. The kids in this movie set their mom up with a complete stranger in order to sneak out of the house. But who knew that this stranger was actually a vampire? Check it out!

10. Casper

A complete classic. The movie about the world's friendliest ghost is definitely one of my all time favorite movies, not just in my top 10 favorite Halloween movies.

I suggest that if you haven't seen all of these movies, you pop a bowl of popcorn or grab a candy apple and sit down for a great Halloween movie!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
