We have known each other for about 16 years. Most people cannot say that they have had a friend that long. I never thought that I would have been able to say that.

I met Diana when we were in day care. Never did I think that I would be with her for so long. We went to day care, preschool, elementary school, and high school together.

When we were in elementary school together we had three other friends: Amanda, Taylor, and Sidney. The five of us were best friends. We went to school together during the day, and then after school, we went to aftercare together. The five of us formed a "band."

After third grade, we all ended up going to separate middle schools. I lost touch with Diana for a few years before we found each other again in eighth grade.

When we got to high school, we reconnected. We would hang out as much as we could. We had a few classes together and even did the talent show together.

(Another one of my friends, Lauren, coming to support us when we performed in the talent show)

We were so young our freshman year. Of course, there were some things that we just took out of proportion, but, as teenage girls, who doesn't?

Sophomore year came and we grew even closer. We had a few more classes together. The drama still came, and we fought every now and then, but we always came back together and were friends again.

Our favorite thing to do in freshman and sophomore year was to go to a mall near our house. We would go into Boscovs and Claire's, and we would just try stuff on and take pictures, and we thought we were the coolest people ever

Junior year came, and it was the toughest year. I had a majority of my classes with Diana, which is every set of best friends' dream! If it was not for her I would not have made it through Chemistry, which I gratefully thank her for! We became really good friends with two other people in our Chem class, and all we did besides our work was take pictures. I have over 300 pictures from junior year of just her and our two other friends Nick and Gabi!

Halfway through our junior year, I got into a relationship, and even though I never wanted to be one of those girls who abandoned her best friend for a guy, I sadly did that for a while. I let all of my attention outside of school and even a little in school go to him; I stopped caring about Diana, and that is one of my biggest regrets. I am glad that we were able to come back from that.

Senior year came along, and Diana and I could not believe that the time had gone by so fast! We were not ready to graduate, but we were ready to move on from the high school drama!

Sadly, though, we grew apart again. I found a group of friends that took me away from Diana, and I hated that it happened. I wanted to spend my senior year with my best friend, and instead I spent half the time arguing with her about nothing and everything.

Toward the end of the year, though, I finally came to my senses and I realized that I needed her more than anyone else. We spent the rest of the year back together, and I got to graduate with my best friend by my side.

We graduated together and now we are closer than ever! I could not ask for a better friend! Even though we argue sometimes, I would not want it any other way!

We had an amazing summer together and I can't wait for this summer and the memories to come!

Even though we go to separate colleges, we still stay in touch every day, and I love going home to see her and catch up in person

She is my sister and I can't wait to be friends with her for the rest of my life!

I love you, girl!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
