I love me some streaming music apps, whether it be Apple Music, Pandora, or Spotify. I make playlists constantly but recently I've been listening to the same few songs. And let me tell you, these songs just get me in the best mood. Whether I'm in my feels or getting ready to go out with my friends, music just has such a capability to change moods for the best, always.

1. "In My Feelings" - Drake

Many of us have seen the #InMyFeelingsChallenge surfacing social media recently with this fun dancing trend. Drake's newest album "Scorpion" is too good. Also, KEKE DO YOU LOVE ME?

2. "Wait" - Maroon 5

I've always loved Maroon 5, and I'm a firm believer that their old music is so much better than their newer material, BUT I do love this song. When I went on vacation to Las Vegas in May, this song was always playing outside my hotel in the speaker system, so this song brings me good memories.

3. "Numb" - Linkin Park

UGH. I love Linkin Park. This song just never gets old to me, no matter how many times I listen to it, I'm always down to belt out the lyrics another time.

4. "Never Enough" - Loren Allred

This song is featured on the soundtrack one of my favorite movies of all time, "The Greatest Showman". She truly does have the voice of an angel and this song gets me in my feels.

5. "No Excuses" - Meghan Trainor

I'm honestly not even the biggest Meghan Trainor fan but this song is such a bop, I always want to dance to it when it's playing!

6. "Takin' Shots" - Post Malone

I have his entire "beerbongs & bentleys" album saved in my Spotify but recently I've been obsessing over this song.

7. "Talking To The Moon" - Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars is my favorite artist ever, and this song is a classic in the Bruno library. So timeless and one of my favorites.

8. "Cough Syrup" - Young the Giant

I've loved this song since the beginning of time, I swear.

9. "She's so High" - Tal Bachman

I have such an appreciation for 90s music. I think this song is so underrated!

I think after looking through my recently played songs in Spotify, I learned that there's not one genre that defines my music taste. I really do listen to a variety of music and I love the vibes that it brings me! I love music, I think it has the ability to help with so much, whether your favorite songs get you in your feels, or make you excited to go out with your friends, it definitely boosts my mood. What are your most recently played Spotify songs?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
