My Opinions On Donald Trump's Statements

We all know who Donald Trump is, and if you don't... then where have you been? He is currently the runner up for Republicans in the 2016 presidential election. His rather "out-there" statements is what makes him the talk of the globe. For those of you that actually like him, please refrain from reading this article. This piece is going to accompany his statements, and my strongly-worded opinions. I'll try not to offend anyone, but if I do, well, there's always the option of closing the page.

So, where shall we start? Let's start off by Trump's idea of building a wall? "What?" That has been the usual reaction to this statement. Let me provide some content to go with this. Like every other political issue, one of them being immigration laws, Donald Trump feels that immigrants coming into this country have taken everything out of control. Immigrants are supposedly taking away jobs from U.S citizens, and we are spending too much on them. He notes it is a serious problem and "we need to bring our country back together." And by doing this, he means we need to build a great wall, and have Mexico pay for it. You can further view the video where he's saying these statements here.

Alright Donald, let's get something straight. If anything, these immigrants are doing nothing but helping our country, illegal or not. They've come to America to help their families back home, and just overall have a better life here. Completely disregarding their values by building a wall for them that refrains them from entering the U.S. is downright stupid, immoral, and would probably never happen. In fact, almost all of them are doing jobs that U.S citizens would refrain from doing, just because they want to help their families. You really want to exile millions of immigrants from that?

Next is my personal favorite, which was when Trump wanted to create a ban on all Muslims entering the U.S. He thinks this is a Muslim problem entirely due to the recent terrorist attacks that have happened in the U.S. and across the globe. He further exclaims that we will have "more world-trade centers" by further initiating this ban. He doesn't mind the fact that he has been compared to Hitler because he thinks this is a real problem and wants to figure out "what the hell is going on?" You can view the video here with all these statements.

Well Mr. Trump, I'd be more than happy to tell you what's going on. Not one true Muslim is a terrorist, just keep that in mind. If they do exclaim that they are Muslim, and further cause terror on innocent people, then it is completely obvious they aren't. The point of being a Muslim is to be peaceful to everyone around you, to focus on yourself, and to spread love and happiness. Just because a person says he or she is a Muslim, and is doing a violent act in the name of Islam, is complete crap and not reliable whatsoever. Might I turn the tables here and exclaim that people that say they are a part of ANY religion do bad things in the name of their beliefs. There have been many supposed Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc. that have all caused terror in this country. Simply exiling an entire group of 1.6 billion for the wrong reasons is sickening. Also not to mention, it is unconstitutional and would never EVER be passed, so cut this disgusting act. This isn't a Muslim problem at all, it's a terrorism problem with unstable human beings in this country. Maybe we should focus more on mental health (and ISIS of course) before we make such drastic decisions, shall we?

And we all can't forget when he completely mocked a reporter at one of his campaigns, by defending a claim that he "saw Muslims cheering during the collapse of the Twin Towers." Since the reporter has a chronic condition where he is impaired from moving his arms, it only took Trump five seconds to completely mock this harmless reporter by flailing his arms all around while he was speaking in South Carolina. The video to his campaign speech is here.

Really Donald, you really want to stoop that low? Some of your supporters may defend this by calling your gestures "animated" but its crystal clear the point you're trying to get across.

And with the icing on the cake, Mr. Trump makes several comments about the refugee crisis in Syria, and his stance on migration. Basically in this clip, Donald claims that the Syrians coming in "could be ISIS" and if he wins "they are all going back to Syria."

Now this is just beyond ridiculous. Syrian refugees aren't coming to terrorize Americans, or any people of the country they are migrating to. They are probably the most vulnerable people on this earth right now that are trying to escape the same sort of terrorism you describe all the time. They are a group of people who are trying to live a better life for themselves and for their families. It is the LEAST we could do as a country to take in these refugees. What you're emphasizing is xenophobic, Islamaphobic, and utterly disgusting.

Trump is definitely in a make it or break it situation. If he wins, he could do serious damage to this country, if he loses, he will probably be the most hated man in America that will have a hard time doing business with anyone. It seems every day we hear a different story about Mr. Trump, further escalating, and completely insulting a group of people or political figures.

How far is he willing to take this? I think that's the question we all have been thinking about.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
