I'm Getting Out Of This Love, And Never Coming Back

It's kind of a funny story truly

A common cliche I tried to leave

Girl meets boy and they fall in love, all that stuff

Then boy commits a heinous act

And that love died and collapsed

Into a million pieces

The love was not grand like shows

It was kind of boring honestly

And I tried to tell him that calmly

Till his hand met my cheek, unlovely

Nothing would cover up this mark of death

It was time to go as I

Silently preached to those

I should have taken my own wise advice

Before, again, he strikes

Crying and sobbing

Did not help as I wanted

To leave hurt so much, yet it's time

To take my own advice and get out of this love

This love, this uncaring, uncalled for love

The kind that breaks a heart.

The kind that everyone sees coming, but

Avoids all flags and warning signs

Because, well, it's love

So I'm leaving for good, and

Getting out of this love

I'm getting out of this love

And never coming back

I'm never coming back because I will no longer be hurt

I will no longer be hurt by my love

I'm getting out of this love

And never coming back

Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
