My Iowa State Bucket List

My Iowa State Bucket List

Iowa State University is home to some pretty amazing activities, organizations, and buildings. Here are my top five things I would LOVE to accomplish before I graduate.

1. Tour the Campanile. Tours are available during weekday carillon concerts. They start at the base of the Campanile at 11:30 AM. How COOL would that be?

2. Create a masterpiece at The Workspace. From creating your own piece of pottery to making a button to display proudly on your backpack, The Workspace has something for everyone to express their creativity.

3. Attend ISU AfterDark. Students are invited to the Memorial Union to enjoy games, win prizes, and attend awesome shows. Plus, who doesn't love the awesome free food they provide?

4. Attend a show at Stephens Auditorium. An award-winning auditorium deserves to be admired by everyone.

5. Sip tea and munch on scones at the Joan Bice Underwood Tea Room. It's a teaching operation within the Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management program at Iowa State. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday, and for only $6.50, meals include an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Yum!

There are SO many more things I need to do before I graduate, but I'll start with these five great activities!

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
