My guy, I haven't forgotten about you. Of course, you all need to know what closet staples you'll need all year round as well. When you're out shopping pick up these closet staples:

1. A Basic Tee

Everybody needs a basic tee. Man, woman, child, you need a basic tee. From a crew neck to a V-neck, a basic tee will always be a classic staple in your closet.

2. The Oxford Shirt

Other than a tee, you will need a shirt that's effortless and crisp at the same time. The oxford shirt does just that and more. It's very versatile and timeless.

3. Blue Jeans

There's nothing like a classic pair of blue jeans. For guys, 3-5 pairs will suffice, but make sure you pack some variety. The style and wash of the jeans will give you more of a variety but if you want to purchase a whole closet full of dark wash slim fit jeans then do so.

4. Pants

We all know or should know that jeans and pants aren't cut from the same cloth. As a guy, you have to have other things in your closet other than jeans. From chino to khaki pants, you have to have something in your closet that will go with almost any occasion.

5. A Watch or Two

A watch or two, or more ! A watch is definitely a staple, there are plenty of styles and colors to choose from (sporty to casual). It's an accessory that every guy needs because it's important. In professional situations, you won't have to look at your phone to tell time all you'd have to do is look at your wrist. You will want to have more than one because what's better than variety? You don't have to go overboard and spend a load of money on watches; do you, my guy.

6. Sweatshirt

Fall is approaching and it's going to be a little chilly out soon so you may want to grab a sweatshirt. Before the Fall, purchase one anyway because sweatshirts are hella cheap in the summertime/springtime.If you thrift you know you're bound to score a deal on a sweatshirt, you might even find your favorite brand for the low. So purchase you a sweatshirt that'll keep you warm on those chilly nights.

7. Polo Styled Shirt

Ah that classic collar, that slim fit, that casual look, yeah a polo shirt will do it. It doesn't have to be a Ralph Lauren polo shirt, it has to be a polo styled shirt. Now, if you prefer a Ralph Lauren polo styled shirt then do you,my guy, there isn't anything wrong with that. Any type of polo styled shirt will do, any pattern, any color, a polo styled shirt will top off any pair of pants or jeans in your closet.

8. Sneakers

Sneakers are used to express personality and creativity. Like with every article of clothing/accessory add your twist to it. Sneakers provide just that and more. Sneakers are a great addition to an outfit whether you're going on a date or hanging out with your guys. Sneakers have indeed upgraded in fashion and they are no longer seen only on the court or around the neighborhood. Get you a pair or two, or three, or four.

9. Dress Shoe

Aside from the sneaker, a dress shoe is a great addition to the professional side of your closet. A dress shoe is an addition to a suit or for a casual outfit around the office. As you age you will need a dress shoe in your closet for formal events and of course to coincide with your suits.

10. A Suit or Two

As a man, there should be a suit or two in your closet. Always stick to navy blue or black suits starting out because they are effortless. What I've learned from men is that it takes a certain skill to match pink and purple together in a suit without looking like Easter Sunday. You want something that is professional and a suit is just that. A little tip: your belt and shoes should always match each other. If you want to add a pop of color to your suit, try a brown/tan belt with a brown/tan shoe to your navy blue or black suit. Those colors will add something interesting without looking like you tried too hard. You'll get the hang of it once you've bought more than two.

11. Jacket/Coat

A jean jacket. A pea coat. A raincoat. A trenchcoat. Simple as that. You need one to layer, one to keep you warm, one to shield you from harsh weather such as snow/rain and one that's professional. Jackets/Coats are necessities it's very imperative that you invest in one or the other. A coat, in my opinion, is a great thing to invest in, that way you won't have to keep buying a new coat every year. When you invest in a nice coat, you'd probably have to buy a new one every three years or so.

12. Briefcase/Everyday Bag

A briefcase to keep your work/documents safe. I mean you're an important man who handles his business and why not purchase a nice neutral toned briefcase that will protect your valuable documents and forms of technology (iPad, laptop, tablet etc). An everyday bag will get you through your day to day trek to class, work, or any place your heart desires. In your everyday bag (pictured below) you can put whatever you think you may need. An everyday bag isn't a purse, it's a bag that is shaped like a laptop bag usually placed over your shoulder. An everyday bag doesn't have to be over the shoulder, it can be a bookbag used to carry anything you want of course.

These are just some basic staples that can be added to your current wardrobe or if you're starting your closet over, you should add these items to your closet. These staples are versatile and that's how you would want your closet to look so when you shop you can buy things based on what you need to add on or to finish an outfit. Less money spent the better. Also, thrifting and consignment shopping are great ways to find long lasting staples for low prices-- you just have to look very hard. It's hard work but it's worth it.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
