For anyone with a brother, or more than one like me, there is no doubt they've had a major impact on your life. They make you stronger when times get tough and help you to know when the good times are worth enjoying. No matter what, you can always count on brothers to be there for you and to make you a better woman and so, brothers, this one is for you:

1. They helped me to discover my passions.

Through my brothers, I found I have a passion for sports and for history. Being around them helped me to pick on what they loved to do and it turns out I love those things too, which makes for great sibling bonding.

2. They taught me how to fight.

All the wrestling, sucker-punches and Charlie horses actually turned out to be a good thing because in any situation I feel like I can truly defend myself.

3. They will do anything for you, even though they may complain about it.

Whether I needed the car, help with homework, or a couple extra dollars I could always ask my brothers. They might moan in annoyance but they still would and will help me whenever I need them.

4. They are built-in best friends.

Brothers are great because, like any typical boy, they are carefree 99% of the time. They are always looking to do something fun or go on adventures, making for silly stories and awesome memories.

5. They show you what a man should be.

If you're lucky enough to have brothers who were raised well like mine, you will see first hand how any man should treat a woman. Shoutout to my parents because my brothers are two of the most respectable men I have ever met. It is because of them that I know how I deserve to be treated.

6. They are your bodyguards.

Although they taught me how to fight, sometimes I can't fly solo so if I find myself in a bad situation I know they will be right there to protect me.

7. They tell you everything straight up.

Sometimes I am not thankful for this, but if anyone is going to be honest with me it's them. At least if I'm leaving the house looking like a wreck there is someone there to stop me.

8. They do all chores I don't want to do.

I don't think I've ever taken out the trash or mowed the lawn.

9. They never steal your clothes.

But I sure do steal their clothes.

10. They make family events entertaining.

Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, etc and so on would be dry without them. Hours with the family are not nearly as fun if my brothers aren't there cracking jokes or playing games, probably leaving a relative or two overwhelmed by the shenanigans and foolishness.

11. They will eat all the food.

My brothers aren't the biggest boys but man can they eat. Get their first or you'll be left with a cold slice of pizza and half a breadstick.

12. They are truly a gift from God.

Through all the fights, bruising, hair pulling, and name calling, my brothers truly are a blessing. They have taught me to be strong and to never back down. They always show me how much they love me, even though they might not say it often. Without my brothers, I'm not sure where I would be, but I'm glad I'm not there.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
