I have been with my boyfriend for three years now and even though our relationship is not perfect, it works for us. I have realized the longer that we are together the more we enjoy doing everything together. At first, it was just things like going to movies or dinner, much like any other couple would do. Now we go everywhere together no matter if there is a reason to be together or not.

Having my boyfriend as my best friend means a lot to me because he is the one person who is not going to get mad like a girl and end our friendship. He sticks with me through all of the girls who have walked away from me, while holding me as I cry. It is nice that he always voices his opinion and gives great advice on any situation. He is always the first person I go to no matter what, including if it is a problem involving him. Also, I know whatever secret I tell him it will always stay between just the two of us. We have been friends since kindergarten, but most of our memories come from eighth grade until now, being juniors in college. Which is great, because we have so many inside jokes and a ton of awesome memories that sometimes we are the only two that know about! He is my biggest support system; no matter how small the thing I am doing is he is always there, even if it is just a text message or call, to support me. By now we have learned every mood each other will get in and what will cause the moods, but we also know what will get rid of certain ones.

We do girly things together as well to sometimes make up for me having very few girlfriends. Once he let me paint his toe nails, and even though I had to remove it off shortly after, I still got a picture of his pink nails! Sometimes he paints my nails, but does other things for me more. He combs my hair after I get out of the shower, because he knows how tender headed I am so he makes sure to be really gentle. He helps out with straightening the back of my hair since he knows I am so paranoid about making sure there are no bumps. If I am just not feeling like standing there blow drying my hair, he will dry it for me. Once we were on a cruise and he let me straighten his bangs just cause I wanted to. He will take me to see chick flicks and actually admits to certain ones he is interested in seeing.

Sometimes people make negative comments that we are always together, and sometimes we come as a package deal. It definitely does not mean we are whipped; it just means that we truly enjoy each other's company, but we also like doing the exact same things. It is comfortable knowing that every day I get to see my best friend, and there is not a day that is the exact same. We both make sure there is a different adventure in store for us, and when there are new things to do, the first person we pick to do them with is each other.
