"Who is your role model?" is a question that everyone gets asked at least once in their life. It's a really common question. What you don't get asked as often is who your anti-role model is. Anti-role models are the people you look at and think "yeah, I'm going to try and never do or be like this ever." Anti-role models can have a positive effect on people, making them strive to be a better person than them. That's why I decided to compile a small list of people who I would consider my Anti-Role Models.
Sam Pepper
Sam Pepper is a rapist and cruel YouTube prankster with over 2 million
subscribers. I don't think I need to explain why he's an anti-role
model. Just watching his YouTube channel will show anyone how not to
treat other people. Don't be a Sam Pepper. Be a Thomas Sanders.
Light Yagami
Light Yagami is the main character in the "Death Note" series. He has a
major god complex and wants to kill off all the evil in the world to
make it a better place. While yes, wanting to make the world a better,
safer place free of crime is a nice thing, going insane and killing off
anyone who would dare to do evil isn't exactly the best way to go about
it. Light Yagami teaches all of us that violence isn't the only answer, but it
is still indeed an answer; it just ends terribly for the one doing the
violence.
Donald Trump
Lindsay Lohan
Chris Brown
If you think assaulting Rhianna back in 2009 was the only really bad thing he did, well then hold on to your head because I'm about to blow your mind. That incident resulted in five years’ probation and 180 days of community service. He went crazy and busted up furniture in his dressing room when, during an
interview, he was asked about the assault charges. He's gotten into a fight
with hip hop artist Drake, and then another fight later with Frankie Ocean outside of a club in 2013.
His two-week stint in anger management rehab apparently has not worked
and he’s finally had to spend some actual time behind bars. He isn't just an Anti-role model, but also anti-relationship goals.
Alucard
There are plenty more anti-role models I could list, but these are a few that came to mind when writing this article. I'm taking Business and Professional Speaking at school right now and one of our lessons inspired me to write this. It's important to make note of your anti-role models so that you always know what behaviors and qualities that you would always like to avoid.
