The innovation of Netflix has revolutionized the dating game. Now, instead of hitting Family Video for that scratched disk, which is a total mood killer, you can turn on the television and pull up a smorgasbord of shows and movies. On top of that, with finals coming up, Netflix procrastination is a must. There is no wrong decision when opening Netflix because if you hate something, you can just change to a different show. That being said, here are my favorite shows to watch on Netflix.
5. "Bates Motel"
Norman Bates builds up to his psychotic breaking point in this prequel to the 1960 slasher, Psycho. Complete with a crazy mom and secret workings in his small town, the show continues to build with intensity and excitement.
4. "Orange Is the New Black"
Lesbians in prison battle for control of their territory while Piper Chapman tries to adjust to her new life on the inside. Fair warning: Lots of boob in this show, but that's not why I like it. The show is funny, dramatic and satirical. I have laughed and been sad in the same episode multiple times because men don't cry.
3. "The Office"
Michael Scott runs a tight ship in this hilariously popular American version of a British show. Just another example of Americans doing British things better.
2. "That 70's Show"
Teenagers from the 70s. I cannot simplify it any more. The show follows the life of Eric Foreman and his friends on their amusing escapades from stealing kegs to running off to California. My personal favorite character is the idiotic, but lovable Michael Kelso played by Ashton Kutcher, who often finds himself falling off the water tower and wearing the stupid helmet. How I would rate this show: funny as hell.
1. "Breaking Bad"
Easily the best show on Netflix, possibly the greatest series of all time. A teacher with a terminal illness building a meth empire sounds awesome. And it is.
Keep in mind that I haven't seen half of the shows on Netflix because I spend so much time on these shows. I do look forward to watching "Arrow," "Daredevil" and "Dexter." A new list may be required in a few months.
Enjoy!
