Christmas Movies

Christmas is just around the corner. You are either out shopping for gifts, baking cookies, picking/decorating a Christmas tree, or you are watching some classic Christmas movies. Here are ten classic Christmas movies I love to watch to get into Christmas spirit.

1. Elf (2003)

You can't go wrong wth watching Elf. I love this Christmas movie because it has some great catchphrases. "Bye Buddy, hope you find your dad!"

2. Polar Express (2004)

I love watching this movie while drinking hot chocolate and singing to the hot chocolate song.

3. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (1964)

You can't go wrong with one of the greatest classics ever; Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. My mom, sister, and I used to watch this every year and can still recite some of the lines and sing the song "Silver and Gold".

4. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (1966)

I love Dr. Seuss. How touchy it is that even just kindness during the holidays can turn your cold heart into a warm fuzzy heart during the holidays.

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

One of my all time favorites. I love the meaning behind this Christmas movie.

6. Love Actually (2003)

I will be honest the only reason why I watched this movie in the first place is because once upon a time Harry Styles said it was his favorite movie, so obviously, I had to see what the hype was about. From there on I fell in love with this movie. I love all the different stories.

7. The Santa Claus (1994)

Tim Allen makes the 3 movies a hit.

8. Santa Claus 2 (2002)

I think the 2nd one was my favorite out of all 3 movies. l love the love story that comes out of it.

9. Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus (2006)

Even the coldest heart can turn warm and fuzzy from the warmest hug of all.

10. Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas (1999)

I remember watching this movie with my sister every year. I love that they have different stories about certain Christmas's.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
