Festival season is in full swing, and I think it's a good time to send out a little reminder to you flower children. You all need to stay safe, hydrated, and comfortable. I thought I'd make a list of a few things you should probably bring while out dancing until the sun comes up.
1. Water
First things first, this is not the time to be forgetting your water or water bottles. You're going to sweat out your soul during these festivals. You have got to keep up with what your drinking, and how much you're drinking. If you're not annoyed with how many times you're refilling your bottles, then you're probably not drinking enough.
2. Sunscreen
Like the water situation, sunscreen is also an essential since you'll be in the sun all day; if you're not at a night festival. And if you're in the sun all day without sunscreen, that will most likely result in some serious sunburn if you're not getting enough shade.
3. Snacks
Festival food is expensive, and you've already paid so much for a ticket I doubt you want to spend a whole paycheck's worth of money on food in the festival. Be smart and come prepared with little convient snacks like cold pizza that will warm up in your bag or tent, or a water bottle full of granola or chex mix that you can use to drink more water with later.
4. Empty Bottles to Refill
Bringing extra bottles is not only good for more water but you can use them to carry snacks or small items you don't want to lose. If you have a carabiner you could attach the bottle to your pants and even hold money in it.
5. Power cell
Not necessary but definitely convenient. This power cell can be used to charge your phone, a camera if its charger uses a USB port, and any electronic that charges with this port. Also comes in handy if you're not sure if a charge station will be available at the festival or if your fave act is on and you don't wanna leave to charge your camera.
6. Blankets
Blankets are a great idea to have for when you have down time, or want to lay down and chill in between acts.
7. Camera
This is a must have if you know you're seeing an act that might never play again or just for capturing moments in general with your friends and family.
8. Fanny Packs

9. Don't Forget Those Dance Moves
Now that you've gotten all of your important details for summer festivities, go drink your water, lather on the sunscreen and rock that dance floor!
