Italy, the place every 20-something girl has wanted to go since the debut of the Lizzie McGuire movie. The truly breathtaking destination should most definitely be on your travel list if you haven't already been. If you are planning to go to Italy any time soon, here are some things you'll want to be sure to make time for. Each of these made my time In Italy unforgettable!

1. Eat gelato every single day.

There are so many flavors to explore and it's just so so good. Even if you get vanilla every single day, you must make it a point to have a #GOTD (gelato of the day). It makes for a cute insta story as well!

2. Find super cool Airbnbs to stay in.

If you are traveling with a group of people, Airbnb is definitely one of the cheaper ways to go! My friends and I found some of the coolest Airbnbs in great locations and it really enhanced our experience.

3. Enjoy a bottle of wine at sunset.

There's always somewhere to catch a good sunset in Italy, whether it's on top of a building in Venice or with your feet hanging over the water in Cinque Terre. There's something about enjoying a bottle of wine and just taking in the beauty that is Italy while the sun sets below the horizon.

4. Try new foods.

Kassidy Gomes

When you're visiting a new place, an experience can become so much richer when you embrace the culture of that country. I personally do not like seafood, but fried seafood cones are apparently a big deal in Cinque Terre, so I gave it a try. You won't necessarily love everything you try, but at least you can say you were a little adventurous!

5. Partake in an aperitivo.

Kassidy Gomes

Think Italian cocktail hour, except with better food and drinks because you're in Italy. You will see many locals sitting around tables outside talking and laughing over drinks, so why not join them. Aperitivo is a great way to relax in the evening from all the walking you've probably done, and an excellent way to people watch.

6. Get lost in the streets.

Kassidy Gomes

Half the fun of Italy is simply exploring the beautiful scenery and architecture that the country has to offer. Don't plan every minute of every day, give yourself time to wander and maybe even get lost a little.

7. Soak in every minute.

Kassidy Gomes

Don't take any adventure you embark on for granted, make sure you soak up every moment. Try not to live through snapchat or Instagram but be in the moment. Italy is simply beautiful and there are so many rich experiences to be had there!

My hope is that these tips will come in handy when you're planning your next Italian adventure! Everything about Italy, from the food to the scenery, will simply take your breath away. Obviously there is no exhaustive list of everything you can see and do in Italy, so you'll just have to go and experience it for yourself!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
