These are my favorite albums as of right now, that I feel you should be listening to.

DISCLAIMER: I’m super basic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1. Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It // The 1975

The 1975 is my favorite band, they’re wonderful. I love their self titled album as well, but this album is the best, in my opinion.

Favorite Songs: Loving Someone, Heart Out, If I Believe You, UGH!, Somebody Else, and Paris

P.S. They put on an amazing show.

2. Spreading Rumours // Grouplove

Grouplove is such a fun band, they’re music is so dancey and upbeat. Spreading Rumours is a great album from beginning to end. Their other album is great too, though so definitely give all of their stuff a listen.

Favorite Songs: I’m With You, What I Know, Bitin’ The Bullet, Raspberry, Let Me In, and Colours

P.P.S. They also put on an amazing show.

3. Modern Vampires of the City // Vampire Weekend

When I was 16, a boy gave me this album to add to my vinyl collection, and I’ve been forever grateful to him because he introduced me to one of my favorite bands.

Favorite Songs: Hannah Hunt, Obvious Bicycle, Diane Young, Diplomat’s Son, White Sky, and Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa

4.When I Was Younger // Colony House

I have followed what the band members of Colony House have been doing since before they were Colony House. I love every single song on this album, their songs are so much deeper than just typical love songs that most artists write.

Favorite Songs: Roll With The Punches, Moving Forward, Keep On Keeping On, and Won’t Give Up

P.P.P.S. They ALSO put on an amazing show.

5. 22, A Million // Bon Iver

I love all of Bon Iver’s music. He’s one of the most musically talented people on the planet in my opinion. I chose to put this album because it’s new and its been 5 years since his last album released, so I’ve really been jamming this lately.

Favorite Songs: 22 (OVER S∞∞N), 33 “GOD”, 8 (circle), For Emma, Wash., Hinnom, TX, and Holocene

6. ANTI // Rihanna

RIHANNA IS BETTER THAN BEYONCE. THAT IS ALL.

Favorite Songs: Love On The Brain, Higher, Close To You, Desperado, and Stay

7. Views // Drake

I love Drake. I’m so basic for adding him to this list, but I don’t even care.

Favorite Songs: Controlla, Childs Play, Feel No Ways, U With Me?, Pop Style, Still Here, Too Good, Fire & Desire, Scholarships, Energy, Know Yourself, Madonna, 6 God, Jungle, and Come Thru

8. Coloring Book // Chance The Rapper

Obviously, this album had to be included. It’s great from front to back. Chance The Rapper is insanely talented.

Favorite Songs: Blessings, Sunday Candy, Mixtape, Summer Friends, Juke Jam, Same Drugs, All Night, Finish Line / Drown, All We Got, and No Problem

9. Make Out // LANY

This whole album is cheesy and cute, and I love it.

Favorite Songs: ILYSB, Bad, Bad, Bad, Made In Hollywood, 4EVER!, Pink Skies, BRB / Kiss, and WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS

10. Making Mirrors // Gotye

This album is so underrated, it’s upsetting.

Favorite Songs: Eyes Wide Open, Making Mirrors, Bronte, Somebody That IUsed To Know, Giving Me A Chance, and State Of The Art

11. JUSTIN BIEBER

I'm a Belieber 100%.

P.P.P.P.S. HE PUT ON THE MOST AMAZING SHOW

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
