Have you ever heard a song that sounds like it was written for you in about your life in that moment? Then to come find that song that could explain everything in three minutes. Peyton Sawyer from "One Tree Hill" always had the best taste in music and believed in the magic behind it.

"One Tree Hill" was a teen soap opera that lasted nine seasons from 2003 to 2012. It was about a small town called Tree Hill, North Carolina filled with basketball and romance. There was plenty enough drama for one town but Peyton Sawyer found herself through music.

Karen Roe believed in Peyton Sawyer to let her have an open house in Karen’s Café. Peyton ran into Gavin Degraw at the local record shop in Tree Hill. She invited him to play and he showed up, of course. He performed “I Don’t Want Be” which is the theme song of "One Tree Hill."

Gavin Degraw’s song “I Don’t Want To Be” is a song about being proud of who you are, no matter what you have been through or going through.

“Part of where I'm going

Is knowing where I'm coming from”

He is trying to say that we need to understand where we came from and accept ourselves because that’s the only way that we are going to move on and be our true self.

“I don't want to be

Anything other than what I've been trying to be lately

All I have to do

Is think of me and I have peace of mind”

“I'm tired of looking 'round rooms

Wondering what I've got to do

Or who I'm supposed to be

I don't want to be anything other than me”

He is trying to say that we get easily caught up in the material world that surrounds our daily life and realizing we just have to be true to ourselves in the end to be happy.

If you feel like you have lost who you are, then I would suggest listening to this song because I do believe that you have to put yourself first to be happy and a simple reminder. The song plays a good part in the show because all the characters would lose themselves in the process of finding themselves and realizing that they don’t want to be like that in the end so all they have to do is think of themselves and they will have peace of mind.

Gavin Degraw’s “I Don’t Want To Be” became a hit because of "One Tree Hill." In 2004, it hit number one on the United States pop charts, number 10 on Billboard Top 100 and received a double platinum recognition. The album itself, "Chariot," got a platinum recognition. He has continued writing and making music with four other albums and various hit songs such as “Not Over You” and “Best I Ever Had.”

Tyler Hilton wrote “Glad” -- this song came off his “The Tracks Off” album in 2004 which he wrote about a cute girl that was a German exchange student.

“You said your life couldn't get much better

Than where it's at

And aren't you glad”

He is trying to say that if you don’t think it can get any better, then why are you not happy with where it is at now.

“You can't say what you want or

Take what you want or

Choose the moods that you fake when you want

You said your life needed something special

Which you don't have”

He is trying to say that you can’t keep going through life waiting for moments and faking your way through it. If you want something special, then you need to find it and go make it for yourself.

Once Peyton Sawyer got TRIC up and going, she met her mom who had breast cancer and started to collaborate on a CD called “Friends with Benefits," which benefits breast cancer research. She and her mom shared the joy that they found in music.

Tyler Hilton performed “Missing You” at the benefits concert. He kept coming back to "One Tree Hill" as Chris Keller from 2004-2007 and came back as a regular on the ninth and final season in 2012. He has six albums and two EPs, which “Glad” and “You’ll Ask for Me” came off of. His album “The Tracks Off” made US Heatseekers Albums #15 in 2004 and the album after, “Forget The Storm” made US Heatseekers Albums #2 in 2012.

Kate Voegele played Mia Catalano, a young teenager waiting to be discovered. She was discovered by Peyton who was looking for new and upcoming bands to represent her and her new, Red Bedroom Records. Mia was just a piano player in a band but Peyton saw the potential in her and got her to be more than just a piano player in the background.

Kate Voegele appeared on "One Tree Hill" from 2008-2011 as Mia Catalano. Her appearance on the show helped her career and allowed her to perform various songs off her album on the show. She has three albums and two EP’s, including “Don’t Look Away” which peeked the charts at 27 in 2007. She is working on a fourth album but it has not been released yet.

Jana Kramer played Alex Dupre, a struggling actress looking for attention turned singer/songwriter. She turned to Chris Keller for help with writing music and performing but he tells her that her song isn’t good enough, but she still goes on. She performed “I Won’t Give Up” and “Whiskey” at TRIC despite what Chirs Keller said.

Jana Kramer appeared on "One Tree Hill" from 2008-2012 as Alex Dupre. Her character was supposed to be recurring but she became a regular in the middle of season seven and went back as recurring during season nine. “I Won’t Give Up” peaked the charts at number 75 on Billboard Hot 100 and “Whiskey” peaked the charts at number 99 on Billboard Hot 100. She has two country albums, “Jana Kramer” and “Thirty One” which both made the Billboard Hot Country Albums at 5 and 3.

"One Tree Hill" is not just a television show that we have come to love and hate. We love the relationship between Nathan and Haley. We hated Nathan at the start but come to love him in the end. We loved Lucas because he was the underdog but came to hate him because of his bad choices. We loved Peyton’s taste in music. We hated the struggles she went through but loved the person she turned into. Besides the basketball and the relationships telling the story, music is not just in the background but tells a story in the end. Whether you like pop, rock, or country, there's something for you to connect to in "One Tree Hill."

The music in "One Tree Hill" isn’t just relatable to Peyton Sawyer but to our daily lives. If you just sit down and listen to the lyrics, then you will find that a song from the show could be perfect for you. In general though, if you sit down and listen to the lyrics, then you will find that song that can explain everything that you are feeling in that moment.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
