Without a doubt, music is one of the greatest things ever created by mankind. It can make us happy if we're feeling down. It can make us cry if we really need to get those tears out of our eyes. It can motivate us if we need to get ready for something big. It's clear that music plays an important role in our lives.
As humans, it's nearly impossible to live life without having a bad day. Everyone has their own solutions to fix their problems. We take time to come up with a way to feel better, and for me, that's listening to music. It's a simple process really. I grab my phone, plug my earphones in, and press play. This instantly puts me in a better mood, no matter what situation I'm in. For example, if my friends can't make it to lunch, I just plug those trusty earphones in and enjoy. Sitting alone at a lunch table always seemed like a bad thing, but I have no problem with it as long as I've got a good song to listen to. It's almost like an addiction. I need my daily dose of music at least 3 times a day.
Before I go anywhere, I always make sure I have 4 things: Keys, wallet, phone, and earphones. I always have to make sure I have my earphones, especially if I'm walking somewhere, which is what most of my days consist of. Everyone always asks me why I love walking so much. I tell them that I don't love it, but I don't mind it. When I'm walking, I get to listen to the songs I love for a longer amount of time than if I were to be in a car or a bus. It just makes everything so much better. Now, of course, I love to have some peace and quiet every now and then, but music is what helps create memories, and sometimes I replay those memories by listening to the songs that were playing during those moments.
I know everything I've stated might seem a bit obvious, but when you think about it, it's really strange how a specific collection of words and sounds can impact our lives in such a way where we can't imagine life without it. I don't know what I'd do if rhythm just magically vanished from the Earth. Many people, including myself, would probably go insane.
