With summer approaching and the temperature rising, the movie theatre might not be the first place on your mind. But, these new releases are well worth your time spent indoors with their amazing visuals, star power, and ability to leave you crying from laughter, sadness, or both. Want to relive a childhood favorite? Or, maybe you're more into a touchy-feely tear jerker. Take a look at the movies below to get a sneak peak (and click on the title for the trailers).
1. "The Jungle Book"

Talking animals aren't just for little kids anymore. Disney takes Mowgli and friends to a whole new level with breathtaking animation to make the audience feel as if they're right there in the jungle. Watch out for Kaa and Shere Khan who's ferocious bites might seem more realistic in 3-D.
Starring: Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o
Rating: 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
2. "Barbershop: The Next Cut"
Need a movie that can guarantee to make you laugh? Barbershop is the movie for you. Rarely can a threequel keep it fresh, but this movie brings in some serious messages with a not-so-serious tone to make it intensely impactful but also light and entertaining.
Starring: Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Nicki Minaj
Rating: 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
3. "Sing Street"
Starring: Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Lucy Boynton, Aidan Gillen
Rating : 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
4. "The Boss"
Starring: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage
Rating : 19 percent on Rotten Tomatoes (yikes, but I don't trust it)
5. "Eye In The Sky"
Starring: Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman
Rating: 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
6. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"
Starring: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne
Rating: 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes (with a 69 percent viewer rating)
7. Midnight Special
This sci-fi will grab your attention from the very beginning. When the father and son flee from government authorities, you begin to wonder how dangerous this kid really is. And then it gets dramatic and stuff and makes you think really hard about unsolved mysteries. Think E.T. times X-Men.
Starring: Michael Shannon, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver
Rating: 82 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
8. "10 Cloverfield Lane"
Starring: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, John Gallagher, Jr.
Rating: 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
9. "Hello, My Name Is Doris"
If you want to find out exactly how absurdly hilarious you might act if you were an old lady with issues like grief or social isolation, watch this movie. Doris is that shy, but funny grandma who you're rooting for in her pursuit of a much younger and hotter man (wink wink Max Greenfield).
Starring: Sally Field, Max Greenfield, Tyne Daly
Rating: 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
10. "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"
Starring: Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman
Rating: 65 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
11. "Zootopia"
Starring: Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Idris Elba
Rating: 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
12. "The Witch"
Last but certainly not least, this next suggestion is not for the faint-hearted. Leaving me hiding under the covers from just the trailer, it's horrifically disturbing but entertainingly thrilling. If you're looking to get spooked, this is for you.
Starring: Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie
Rating: 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
