With summer approaching and the temperature rising, the movie theatre might not be the first place on your mind. But, these new releases are well worth your time spent indoors with their amazing visuals, star power, and ability to leave you crying from laughter, sadness, or both. Want to relive a childhood favorite? Or, maybe you're more into a touchy-feely tear jerker. Take a look at the movies below to get a sneak peak (and click on the title for the trailers).

1. "The Jungle Book"

Talking animals aren't just for little kids anymore. Disney takes Mowgli and friends to a whole new level with breathtaking animation to make the audience feel as if they're right there in the jungle. Watch out for Kaa and Shere Khan who's ferocious bites might seem more realistic in 3-D.

Starring: Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o

Rating: 93 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

2. "Barbershop: The Next Cut"

Need a movie that can guarantee to make you laugh? Barbershop is the movie for you. Rarely can a threequel keep it fresh, but this movie brings in some serious messages with a not-so-serious tone to make it intensely impactful but also light and entertaining.

Starring: Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Nicki Minaj

Rating: 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

3. "Sing Street"

When you mix '80's prep-school Irish teenagers with a lust for love and rock and roll, it's the perfect feel-good movie to get you inspired and hopeful for the upcoming months. USA Today claims it's a "wholly appealing genesis of teenage romance and music group therapy" that will definitely leave you wanting to buy the soundtrack.

Starring: Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Lucy Boynton, Aidan Gillen

Rating : 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

4. "The Boss"

Seriously, you can't refuse the chance to see Melissa McCarthy in her element spitting out hilariously vulgar lines that'll keep you laughing for days. While some people might label this kind of humor as nonsense, I beg to differ and say that if you see this you will be entertained.

Starring: Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage

Rating : 19 percent on Rotten Tomatoes (yikes, but I don't trust it)

5. "Eye In The Sky"

Modern drone warfare will take your breath away with the realism of the dramatic and explosive screen performances. Beware, the riveting suspense will have you biting your nails the whole time. Plus, ever since Breaking Bad ended, we've missed Aaron Paul too much (insert "b*tch" quote here).

Starring: Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman

Rating: 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

6. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"

Need a classic? This one has just the right amount of your favorite superheroes but with some huge twists. Batman is mad at superman, Lex Luthor is plain nuts, and chaos ensues. If you can keep up with the overstuffed storyline, this action-packed movie will keep you captivated.

Starring: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne

Rating: 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes (with a 69 percent viewer rating)

7. Midnight Special

This sci-fi will grab your attention from the very beginning. When the father and son flee from government authorities, you begin to wonder how dangerous this kid really is. And then it gets dramatic and stuff and makes you think really hard about unsolved mysteries. Think E.T. times X-Men.

Starring: Michael Shannon, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver

Rating: 82 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

8. "10 Cloverfield Lane"

You know sh*t got real way too quickly when a young woman wakes up to find herself locked in an underground bunker. Plot twist, the creepy guys keeping her there are actually less crazy than what's going on above ground. Spooky.

Starring: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, John Gallagher, Jr.

Rating: 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

9. "Hello, My Name Is Doris"

If you want to find out exactly how absurdly hilarious you might act if you were an old lady with issues like grief or social isolation, watch this movie. Doris is that shy, but funny grandma who you're rooting for in her pursuit of a much younger and hotter man (wink wink Max Greenfield).

Starring: Sally Field, Max Greenfield, Tyne Daly

Rating: 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

10. "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot"

In a "based on a true story" level of seriousness and realism concerning the realities of war in Afghanistan, Tina Fey takes her role with a compelling, high-spirited stride. It's definitely entertaining and Times says that the movie "captures the texture of one person’s experience in a place where she knows she shouldn’t be, and helps us understand why she fears she’ll never want to be anyplace else. "

Starring: Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman

Rating: 65 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

11. "Zootopia"

This movie is a step up from your classic Disney animated film by taking to the screen to talk about themes so central and relevant in our society today, while still keeping it cute and funny. Vox's Todd VanDerWerff noted that it's the "best animated kids comedy about prejudice and the roots of police brutality ever made."

Starring: Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Idris Elba

Rating: 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

12. "The Witch"

Last but certainly not least, this next suggestion is not for the faint-hearted. Leaving me hiding under the covers from just the trailer, it's horrifically disturbing but entertainingly thrilling. If you're looking to get spooked, this is for you.

Starring: Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie

Rating: 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
