From childhood favorites to the top picks of today, these movies will put you in a better mood on a rainy day. Look through and select a Movie that will make you sing, laugh, or feel inspired and motivated.

1. To All The Boys I've Loved Before

Romantic comedies are arguably the best genres to watch when it is gloomy outside. I find romantic comedies too cheesy, but I am really a fan of this new Netflix Original! The movie is based off a book (which I heard is incredible) so if you are more interested in curling up with a good book when it rains this book/movie is still a good choice for you!

2. Mamma Mia

We love a classic and we love Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried! What better time to rewatch one of your favorites then on a rainy day? I recommend finding a group of friends to watch, sing and dance along with you. Also, if you haven't had a chance to watch "Mamma Mia 2" this is a perfect excuse to catch up on the original and then go see the sequel!

3. The Princess Diaries

A childhood favorite that in recent years has regained popularity. Watch before your eyes as Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews convince you that your childhood dream of becoming a princess could still come true.

4. Moana

The mixture of a great soundtrack and inspirational girl power, "Moana" has become one many Disney lovers favorite movies. It's another movie that is perfect to sing along to with friends!

5. Like Father

This is a new addition to the Netflix original collection but it is definitely a good one! Although it is not all happy go lucky, Kristen Bell is likely to have you actually laughing out loud during this movie. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a new movie.

6. The Breakfast Club

Rainy days are the perfect days to catch up on old classics you haven't seen in a while. This movie is a reminder that no matter your image, everyone is more similar than we would like to believe.

7. The Kissing Booth

This film raised to popularity at an alarming rate, and although it may be slightly overrated that doesn't mean it's not worthy of being watched. This cheesy high school romance is bound to brighten your day and make you wonder why high school students in movies always look 25. Bonus: the main characters are dating in real life, which makes every romantic comedy even cuter!

8. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

One of the most classic romantic comedies of all time was destined to be on this list. Everyone needs more Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson in their lives. This dynamic duo will have you cracking up and enjoying every second of it.

9. High School Musical 3

If you can do it, I recommend a High School Musical marathon with all three films! Sadly, Netflix only offers the third. This movie will bring you back to simpler times and remind you that at one point you were just wondering who was going to get the lead in the play and if Gabriella and Troy would be together forever.

10. Lilo & Stich

Another childhood classic has made the list. From the sister bond to the sassy remarks to our favorite little blue cartoon animal, this movie has it all.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
