Although 2015 was the year of major blockbusters like "Star Wars: A Force Awakens" and "Jurassic World," there are a myriad of movies that have just as much potential in 2016. Below are some movies you don't want to miss this year.
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" (March 25, 2016)

I'm still not sure why two heroes are fighting against each other, but I, along with many others, am ready to find out. Watch these superheroes go head to head on the big screen this spring. Who's going to win? Will it be the Dark Knight or the Man of Steel?
"Deadpool" (February 12, 2016)
I’m sure many of us have seen Ryan Reynolds sassily tweet and troll social media about this upcoming movie, and it might be one of the greatest things to ever happen on the Internet. He’s clearly ready for this movie to premiere, and we should be too.
"Finding Dory" (June 17, 2016)
It’s about time! This might be the most anticipated movie of 2016, as rumors have been flying around about this for years. Good news people, we don’t have to wait much longer because in just six months we get to travel into the deep sea to find our blue tang friend, Dory. This June, we can all release our inner child thanks to Pixar once again.
"How to be Single" (February 12, 2016)
Rebel Wilson, Dakota Johnson, and Leslie Mann all star in the upcoming comedy about five single ladies in New York. It's all about right and wrong ways to be single. For all my fellow single ladies out there, bring a pen and paper to take some notes.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (November 18, 2016)
Calling all muggles and wizards, the new adaptation for the world of "Harry Potter" will be on a big screen near you in just a few months. Though the beloved characters we grew up with will not be in the movie, it gives life to new ones to fall in love with while still enjoying the wonders of the magical world. Plus, Eddie Redmayne is in the movie, so that's an obvious reason to see it right there.
"Dirty Grandpa" (January 22, 2016)
It's the best of both worlds: Zac Efron and dirty jokes. And who is the dirty grandpa in this upcoming film? None other than Robert De Niro, AKA the perfect man for this role. Watching the trailer is all the convincing you'll need to go see this movie.
"Zoolander 2" (February 12, 2016)

Attention, world! Blue Steel is back, along with Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, and the newest member of the cast, Kristen Wiig. The 15 year wait is over and they are coming back with Ben Stiller, once again controlling the entire movie as he acts, produces, and directs it.
"Ghostbusters" (July 15, 2016)
It's not a sequel, just a remake...but with an all female cast this time. It's bound to be exciting and most likely funny with Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon as lead roles. If you need further convincing, it looks like Chris Hemsworth is also going to make an appearance. You've got your fantastically hilarious women and your hot guy.
"Moana" (November 23, 2016)
Disney is at it again. We're going from the mega-popular winter fairy tale "Frozen" to the ancient southern pacific set in which this upcoming fairy tale film takes place. The next princess is going to be Moana. She's got some big shoes to fill following Anna and Elsa, but Disney rarely disappoints. I have faith in this new princess as she hits the big screen this fall.
"Snowden" (May 13, 2016)
From Oliver Stone comes a movie on the infamous Edward Snowden, who created quite the fuss back in 2013. Though a previous documentary was already made about Snowden, Stone is going to work his movie-making magic on this controversial subject/person.
