As many of us may be nearing adulthood, it’s important to hold onto some of our youth in order to keep our inner child alive. And as a kid, nothing was better than watching the latest Disney/Pixar classic over and over again. These movies had us foolishly grinning at a screen while we shoveled popcorn into our mouths and laughed at the scene unfolding in front of us. The movies taught us some of the most valuable lessons in life, because sometimes, we all need to be reminded to “just keep swimming.” So this summer, grab your friends and head to the theatre for some more life lessons, a barrel of laughs and that buttered popcorn you just can’t resist.
This comedy takes place on Bird Island, which is home to happy-go-lucky birds with a naive view on the world; however, Bird Island houses three exceptions: Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (voiced by Josh Grad), and Bomb (voiced by Danny McBride), whose personalities are opposite from the usual happiness. When green pigs enter their island, everyone is thrilled, except for Red, Chuck and Bomb. It’s up to the three of them to uncover the true reason the pigs came to Bird Island.
The movie is rated PG, and you can catch it out in theaters now.
This sequel brings back the goofy, colorful characters we all love: Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), Nemo (voiced by Hayden Rolence) and Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks). Dory is on a mission to become reunited with her parents Jenny (voiced by Diane Keaton) and Charlie (voiced by Eugene Levy).
The film is rated PG, and will be out in theaters on June 17.
This adorable animated film takes place in a Manhattan apartment building and centers around a beloved pet Max (voiced by Louis C.K.). Max’s life is turned upside-down when his owners introduce a new pet to the family, Duke (voiced by Eric Stonestreet). The two must set aside their vast differences when they discover that a white bunny named Snowball (voiced by Kevin Hart) is building an army of abandoned pets to take revenge on happy pet owners and their lovable pets.
The film is rated PG, and will be out in theaters on July 8.
This film is nothing close to the childhood classics you're all used to. It offers the animation to appeal to your inner child, but humor that will appeal your newfound adulthood. The movie revolves around a sausage’s quest to discover the meaning of his life. The trailer is filled with sexual innuendos and colorful language that is sure to make you laugh.
