Disney's heart is in its movies. It is where the company got its start, after all. So far, what Walt Disney Studios has planned for the rest of 2016 follows that precedent; heart. 2016 is full of upcoming releases that are full of sequels, live-action remakes and talking animals. Here's a look at some on the movies that Disney are releasing this year:
1. "Zootopia"
"Zootopia" is Disney's 55th animated feature film. It features the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Shakira and Kristen Bell. Goodwin voices an idealistic rabbit named Judy Hopps who pairs with a fox and con artist (Bateman). Hopps is Zootopia's first bunny cop and is ready to make the city a better place. The two must work together to uncover a conspiracy.
2. "Jungle Book"
This adaptation of the 1967 Disney animated classic stars Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken. Disney's newest version is a live-action and CGI remake of the story we all know and love about a boy who is raised in the jungle.

3. "Alice Through the Looking Glass"
The characters of Wonderland are returning to the big screen this summer in "Alice Through the Looking Glass." The sequel to the 2010 Disney film is produced by Tim Burton and brings back Johnny Deep, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter. Also added to the cast is Sacha Baron Cohen. In this sequel, Alice returns to Wonderland and must go back in time to save the Mad Hatter.

4. "Finding Dory"
Also coming this summer is the sequel to the beloved "Finding Nemo," which came out in 2003. The film, produced by Pixar Animation, was written and directed by Andrew Stanton who also directed the 2003 film. The characters returning in this sequel include Dory, Nemo, and Marlin. It will follow the adventures of Dory as she tries to reunite with her family.

5. "The BFG"
Based on the book by Roald Dahl, "The BFG" is directed by Steven Speilberg and stars Mark Rylance, Penelope Wilton, and Bill Hader. The adaptation tells the story of a girl named Sophie who finds an unlikely friendship with an outcast giant.
Release date: July 1, 2016
6. "Pete's Dragon"
"Pete's Dragon" is a remake of the 1977 Disney film and is also based on a short story by S.S. Field and Seton I. Miller. It stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, and Robert Redford. It is the story of an orphaned boy, Pete, and his dragon best friend.
