In the midst of award show season, it's easy to just focus on the movies already nominated. But we can't forget about all the wonderful and exciting movies yet to come. From original pictures to long-awaited sequels, there's plenty to look forward to.
1. "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"
Absolutely THE most anticipated movie of the year, and for good reason. Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren and (finally) maybe a talking Luke Skywalker- the second part of this trilogy should be epic, especially with the recent announcement of the title "The Last Jedi" and the new red letters. It has gotten the entire movie industry speculating. Let the long wait to December begin...
2. "Beauty and the Beast"
Get ready to relive your childhood with Hermione Granger at the forefront! Look forward to everything you loved from your childhood- reimagined.
3. "The Fate of the Furious"
April 14th, 2017
AKA: "The Fast and the Furious- Civil War." Charlize Theron somehow breaking up this family? We all want to find out. (and yes apparently this franchise is still pumping out movies. I was surprised as you.)
4. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"
The gang is back and (hopefully) better than ever in the second installment of the guardians' franchise. We can look forward to more throw back tunes, more Bradley Cooper as a mutant raccoon hilarity and more hot/hysterical Chris Pratt moments. The perfect storm for the perfect sequel.
5. "Baywatch"
May 19th, 2017
A modern take on the old steamy tv show, no matter what, at least we'll all have something pretty to look at.
6. "Logan"
Here comes the benefits of the new wave of R-rated superhero movies (thx deadpool ;) ). After two origin movies for the most popular of the X-Men that seemed to fall flat amongst moviegoers and comic book fans, here is the solo movie that Wolverine ultimately deserves. It looks like it'll feature something every X-Men movie has been missing; gore and legitimate violence. Should be turnt.
7. "The Lego Batman Movie"
Will Arnett stars as the lego Batman in what looks to be a hilarious adventure that all ages will enjoy.
8. "Spiderman: Homecoming"
July 7th, 2017
Tom Holland, Zendaya, RDJ, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover...need I say more? This film has been long awaited ever since Tom Holland's debut in Civil War, and the most adorable spiderman of our time better live up to our standards!! (But really when has Marvel ever failed us?)
9. "John Wick: Chapter 2"
The second installation of this assassin's life should prove to be just as exciting as the first!
10. "Wonder Woman"
DC's last ditch effort to try and compete with Marvel! This badass woman is finally getting her own movie, and we're praying it'll be as good as she is.
