"The Intern," which was released to theaters on Sept. 25, has graced audience members with a chance for some good laughs and light-hearted comedy. Anne Hathaway, who plays big-time fashion business owner Jules Ostin, receives news about an elderly internship program, by which she meets her personal intern, Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro).
70-year-old Whittaker is a widower looking for excitement and something new in his life when he applies for an internship at Ostin's Brooklyn fashion company, About the Fit.
Ostin is very skeptical to work with a senior citizen at first, but as Whittaker gains popularity in the office and with Jules' family, he becomes an instant hit wherever he goes.
With new friendships, shocking discoveries, and a possible new love interest, "The Intern" will make you smile the whole way through.
This movie brings out every emotion in whoever is sitting in the audience. The trailer is exactly what to expect in the movie, with one or two surprises along the way.
It's all a film with a bigger message: We realize how one person that we meet in our lives can truly change everything. We all have that one friend in our lives that seems to resolve everything for us, constantly says the right thing, and makes us feel as if we aren't alone.
If you are looking for a Friday night movie to watch with a close friend or family, this is the one for sure. A feel-good movie with a few tears and constant laughs, you will admire De Niro in a way you've never before.
And it also may make you want to hug every elderly person you see while leaving the theater, just saying.
