People always have an opinion. Whether it is about your love life or what you should have for dinner, there is always that one person who will tell you what they think about your decision. Sometimes it's advice that should be followed and other times it's just them talking and not truly listening to what you're talking about. Movies on the other hand sometimes have the best advice. Most of us have our favorite movie quote that sticks with us through the good and the bad times. Some of the quotes help us make the right decisions or get us through the rough times in life. Here are my favorite quotes that mean the most to me.
1. The Princess Diaries
This movie is full of good quotes. The ones that stand out though are:
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all." -Mia's Father
"Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent." -Joe
These quotes remind you that you are in control over your own life. The term YOLO came and went in popular culture but this is a nicer way of saying that. If you have courage you can do anything and will live a great fulfilled life. If someone is "making" you feel awful, it is only because you gave them the power to do so and you have the ability to take that power away from them.

This movie is great at showing loving and unloving relationships. It shows how to live in a world that seems like it is against you. Make things fun and celebrate them instead of letting them ruin your day. Find the love you actually deserve in life. It is true that we accept what we believe we deserve whether it is the job or the significant other. You are alive right now. Unless you died at the end of that sentence, you have a life that you are living. Celebrate that. Your friends might be in your life for a short period of time. However long they are there for, they have affected you. They have either made you a better person or a worse person but sometimes friends leave because you have learned all they have to teach you. Keep on living. You will find new friends.
3. Pokémon: The First Movie

You are made up of your choices. If you fight hard for what you believe in, you will find a way to succeed. Don't let circumstances rule your life in what you can and can't do. Find a way to do what matters to you.

Not everyone knows that they belong here on Earth. We are all here for a reason. We might not all end up in the history books and we might not be remembered by anyone but our families, but we are all here for a reason.

6. The Lion King

Rafiki: "It doesn't matter. It's in the past."
Simba: "Yeah, but it still hurts."
Rafiki: "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it."
This right here is what a lot of people need to remember. Yes. The past hurts you but it is a lesson. This doesn't mean you should be scared of living life. Diving head first into things and don't let the past define your future.
7. What a Girl Wants
Don't let society dictate who you are. Be you. I guarantee that is the best part of you. You will find the best people for you if you are 100% you and no one else. Wear what you want, dance how you wish, wear as much or as little makeup as your heart desires. Most importantly: don't let anyone's judgement of you change who you are as a person.
8. Harry Potter Series

Whether you believe in God or an afterlife or not, I believe we all know our loved ones are always with us. Even after they pass. The Harry Potter Series has a lot of good quotes to remember in life. Yes life really isn't fair. No Snape is not the first one to say that line but that doesn't make it any less true. You have to believe in yourself. You can work endlessly on something but if your heart isn't in it, it won't be as meaningful. You have to believe in yourself to make life meaningful. You are always younger than someone. You will never know everything. But you are on the path to the greats. Everyone has to start somewhere.
9. Forest Gump
Forests' momma is right, you never know what life is going to throw your way. You may try to prepare for everything that could happen in life, but there is no way you can really prepare for every outcome.

Now that isn't a quote from the movie. But this movie is the only place you will find the song- well except for YouTube because what isn't on YouTube these days. It is my favorite song in the world because it sums up love perfectly. At least what I believe true love feels like. The type of love when two become one.
All in all: live your life to the fullest. If you are going to do something, do it whole-heartedly. Throw yourself into what you love. Be passionate about what you do. Find your love in life whether it be your job or a person or a place. Don't let the past put you down. Learn from it. Find the person who you feel connected to in a whole new way.
