Greetings loved ones, let's take a journey...

Before college, I was the polar opposite of a mid-morning person. My senior year classes began at noon every day and I still was never prepared. Fast forward to university time and I am FINISHED with classes by noon and living my best life. So much gets done, with so much time left in my day.

1. With morning classes, you have the rest of the day to do anything!

2. Coffee tastes so much better at 8 AM... and again at 10 AM... and 12 PM...

Early classes are a great excuse to drink as much coffee as your caffeinated heart can manage.

3. Days seem SO much longer.

Seriously, being absolutely done for the day at noon means you still have ~hours~ left in your day. The opportunities are endless; go to the gym, meet with your advisor, call your mom, TAKE A BATH you deserve it!

4. Long weekends are very possible.

If you live a couple hours or so away from home and class ends at 12 PM you can drive home in time for dinner and have a nice weekend with your family. Or, that's one more day of ~party~ time. Party on party people.

5. You feel so productive when you are finishing all your homework at 1 PM on a Wednesday.

6. Early classes will begin to set you up for the real world.

Unless you have a cool ~night job~ odds are you'll have to be at work by at least 8 AM. Why not start now?

First semester and your first year of college fly by and are the craziest learning experiences of your life. If I can offer you one piece of advice it would be to take control of your schedule and make it work for you. Adventure often - but do not forget to take your well-earned naps.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
