It's that time of the year again...Bachelor time!!! I dread Mondays, (who doesn't?); honestly, the only thing that gets me through my Mondays is "The Bachelor." When Jojo's season of "The Bachelorette" ended, I really was not happy that Nick was the new Bachelor (I'm still a hardcore Robby or Luke fan). A few weeks ago, I made some predictions (and a Bachelor bracket...yes, that is a real thing) based off of the girls' profiles on the ABC website. After watching the season premiere on Monday night, a lot of my opinions have changed. Sure, there's still weird girls, girls that cry about everything, girls that are way too aggressive, and this season, a girl wearing a shark suit (which she claims is a dolphin suit.) Just like any first episode of the Bachelor, there were cat fights, pretty ball gowns, and tons of drama. Here are some of my thoughts and predictions after watching the first episode!
1. I still don't know how I feel about Nick.
I mean, he's kind of cute-ish? To me, he seems a little old to be the Bachelor. And if it wasn't mentioned a crap ton in the first episode, this is Nick's fourth time trying to find love on a reality show. Sure, I feel bad that he was rejected more than once on national television. I don't know what it is about him...he seemed to have a dry personality. He has a nice body, though.
2. Should I wear a shark (sorry, dolphin ) suit on my next date?
What was this girl thinking?? She looked absolutely crazy. And yes, Nick did think it was funny and he did give her a rose. But, do you want to tell your future kids that you first met your wife in a shark suit? I mean, I love Chipotle, but you don't see me walking around in a burrito costume.
3. He gave her the first impression rose???
Honestly, this was very surprising. Yeah, she's an attorney and she's super smart, but I don't see her going very far on the show. She also needs to fix that gap in between her teeth, just saying.
4. When every girl basically said the same thing to Nick when they came out of the limo.
Come on, girls. Be more original. There actually weren't many odd or crazy entrances this season, which was kind of disappointing!
5. This chick is going to cause a lot of drama!
I already don't like Liz very much. She thinks she has an advantage over the other girls because she "hooked up" with Nick prior to the show. I don't really see her making it to the very end, but it is The Bachelor. Anything can happen.
6. Maybe Nick isn't that bad, after all.
Maybe this season, Nick will hit the jackpot and finally find true love. Bachelor Nation: this is only the beginning!
