As much as I don't want to admit it sometimes, for the past 19 years you have been my rock. When things go right, or even wrong, you're the first person that I want to tell. Sometimes people say life can get hard and that all you really need is your mom, I have found this is actually a true statement. Especially being in college. Growing up, I always had you around tot talk to, now that I'm two hours away at school, it's not the same. But no matter what, I know you're always here, even if you're not physically here.
Thank you for letting me call you at least three times a day(or more). Sometimes, we all have crazy days. For me, this happens more times than I can count in a week. If things don't go the way I planned or I'm feeling stressed out, I know that I can call you'll through out the day and night and you'll be there to answer my call and listen to me rant. But you're also there when I have good news and are still excited for me, even when you aren't here. Even when I just want to talk, you are still there to listen to me blab on for as long as I want.
Thank you for making me feel better. Even when you aren't here, you are usually able to make me feel better when I'm having a terrible day. Whether it's by sending a text, giving me advice or just talking me through my life, you have no idea how much I appreciate your ability to ease my stress.
Thank you for constantly encouraging me. If it wasn't for your unwavering encouragement and pushing, I would not be where I am today. You have helped me discover my passions and have pushed me to do my very best in everything I participate in whether it be in sports, school, my sorority or other involvements. You always make sure it's known that I have your support and that you support all the decisions that I make. As someone who enjoys little acknowledgements, this is by far one of the most important things you do as my mom, encouraging me daily and telling me I can do.
All in all, thank you for just being a great mom. Even though we fight sometimes and have very different view points on several things, you truly are one of my best friends. Going off to college, I realized how close we really were and I don't know what I would do without you. Thanks for being the best mom out there.
