Dear Mom,
In honor of Mother's Day being only a few weeks away, I thought it would be fitting to write you a letter. You are my backbone, my hero, and my best friend. You are literally a super mom. From working well over the 9-5 shift to working over hours with Alyssa and me, you are truly something so special. Your hard work and dedication to your family and job are unmatched.
Thank you for being my rock at the hardest of times. Your job as a therapist may never rest with me, but I am so grateful to have someone who can understand me and love me as you do. I know it can be hard raising two girls and that I am furthest from the easiest to deal with, but you always manage to make it look so easy. You continue to inspire me every day.
Thank you for letting me take every opportunity that comes my way. You are my biggest supporter, and I would not be able to do over half things I have done without you. I can always count on you to be on the sidelines cheering for me whether it's in sports or academics; you always stick with me through thick and thin. You have sacrificed so much to get me where I am today and I cannot thank you enough. You put Alyssa and me first to ensure that the best things come to us even if that means giving up things that would benefit you.
Thank you for being the most understanding person I have ever known. I know that I can always come to you with my heart wide open and tell you anything in full confidence. You always have the right thing to say and help me look at everything with a new perspective. You are truly something so amazing.
Thank you for loving me. I know, you're my mom, you have to, but just know that the love you share is never taken for granted. You deserve the absolute world and more, and I hope that one day I will be able to give it to you. No one can quite understand how much you mean to me or how amazing of a mother, wife, and woman you truly are. You are most definitely an angel sent straight from Heaven and I could not imagine life without you. Everyone who crosses paths with you in their lifetime should consider themselves lucky. I love you!
Emily
