Let me start off by saying that I LOVE being the mom friend with my whole heart. For most of high school, I've enthusiastically taken on the role of 'mom' and have loved every second of it. I also unintentionally drove a mini van, but that's beside the point.
I've gotten pretty attached to my kids and since I'm graduating, these are the things I've always wanted to tell them.
I will never stop being excited for your successes, never ever ever. Whether you got into an Ivy League or just applied to your first job I will always be there to cheer you on. I won't ever get tired of hearing how awesome your day was or seeing your face light up with joy.
On the flip side, I will always be there on your rainy days. I'm here for you at your highest highs and lowest lows, that's how love works. I'll be by your side through it all and I want you to know that I'm in it for the long haul!
There is nothing I wouldn't do to keep you safe and happy. Need me to pick you up from a party at 2 a.m? I'm there. Forgot to eat breakfast? On it. Just need some kind words? I'm one call away. I am always on call and I'm gonna do whatever you need me to do.
Yes, I remember everything. All the little quirks, all the stories, every drive home, every late night run to Wendy's, they all hold a special place in my heart. You are my happiness, so how could I possibly forget a single detail.
You have my unconditional love and support, no take backs. My love for my kids knows no limits and I'd walk to the ends of the earth for any of them. I love watching you grow and become the best version of yourself and I want to be there every step of the way.
And in case I forgot to tell you today: I love you, with everything I've got.
