New Zealand woman manipulates men on the internet, forcing them to publicly shame themselves in her name.
In the history of the human race, the internet is a fairly new concept. It hasn’t been around nearly as long as people have been around. Loneliness is not a new concept. Loneliness has been around as long as people have been around. In many cases, the two are now mutually exclusive. Online gaming is a perfect example. Many people, commonly young men, go online in hopes to play video games with other people to combat their loneliness.
A young woman named Hanna, or @poisonivylul on Twitter, has used both the internet and online gaming to take advantage of these lonely men. She has been cyber bullying many men through both Twitter and Runescape. Runescape is a free massively multiplayer online role-playing game. She has met men on Runescape, seduced them, and then manipulated them to her will. She has forced men to post pictures of her name on their foreheads, to post pictures of her name on their bodies, to post pictures of her name on their genitals, to shave their entire head (including their eyebrows), to dunk their heads in toilets, to post naked/degrading photos, to twerk on camera, to insert things into their rectums, and the list goes on. There was even a man who beat his own penis with a shoe for her. Her Twitter page is full of retweets of what these men have done by her command. There are dozens upon dozens of pictures and videos.
YOUTUBE VIDEO: OSRS Trance Shaving Head for Hanna
This story has taken over the internet ever since a video was posted on YouTube by Mars rpg, exposing Hanna and the things that she has done. The video claims that she manipulates men, forcing them to do things for her and publically shame themselves, with an overall goal of forcing them to commit suicide. There is no proof that backs up the theory of her trying to force men to kill themselves, but she has spent some time on Twitter romanticizing suicide. She has posted tweets and pictures talking about why couples should take part in mutual suicide.
Hanna has come out and said that she is the actual victim. She claims that these men send her photos of them exposing themselves unsolicited. Her and Stewart, also known as OSRS_Trance (the man who shaved his head and dunked his head in a toilet, also claiming to be her only boyfriend), were interviewed by a man who goes by OakDice on YouTube. They both claimed that it was all a joke. All the things that Stewart posted were, as they put it, “a troll” meant to “trigger” people for fun. They claim that Hanna’s request for men to post pictures of themselves with her name on their foreheads was just a reaction to the naked pictures that were sent to her. Possibly an act of revenge. She did not explain why she has retweeted all of these photos and videos, including the degrading and sexual ones. By the end of the interview, OakDice was convinced that the claims against Hanna were false, forgetting that this is a woman with a reputation of manipulating men.

Runescape muted Hanna’s account, preventing her from communicating with anyone on there. Twitter shut down Hanna’s account, but since October she has returned to Twiitter. Since the first video was posted, many YouTubers got involved. Some posting videos attacking Hanna, and some posting videos defending Hanna. The press has also taken a liking to this story as well. Mars rpg has posted one other video since the one that started it all, responding to the criticism against his first video. These are the only two videos he has ever posted on YouTube from that account.
Though there is no proof that Hanna is trying to make men kill themselves, she is clearly ruining lives. She has taken cyber bullying to a whole other level. She clearly leads men on, bringing them to a point where she can get them to do anything. There is more than enough evidence against her, including photos, videos, tweets, and transcripts. The word is out there of what she has done, but there is still no solution. Even though her Runescape account is muted, she is back on Twitter. Even though the press has taken hold of the story, no permanent resolve has taken place.
Though loneliness is something that plagues us all, it’s not something to be overlooked. Everyone can relate to someone suffering with loneliness, but there are people out there willing to take advantage of it. If anything, this story should be a warning to anyone seeking companionship on the internet. If someone is suffering from severe depression, there are many psychologists and support groups that can help. But everyone should keep an eye out for people like @poisonivylul.
