Have you ever lost a friend who you thought might become someone you want to hang around for the rest of your life? Well, I had made a friend in my Girl Scouts troop about three years ago and we bonded pretty quick, to be honest faster then most of the girls in the troop. Her name was Brianna Maria Rodriquez and she went to Canyon High School. We met when I decided to join her troop because my troop had dwindled down to nothing. At first we had issues because we thought that because we went to rival schools we could not be friends. After a few months of hangout together we became good friends and we got to learn things about each other.
One memory that I have of Bri is when we went to the corn maze for a Girl scout trip. She was in the same car as I was and everyone but me and the driver wanted to listen to One Direction. Everyone, even Bri, was obsessed with the group, and the entire four hour trip was singing to the songs on repeat. Bri had made the joke that got annoying really quick however was funny the first time. She had said "which direction are we going?... One Direction." She and a few other friends said that the entire trip around the maze and most of the car ride back. However she did get us into the little train cars to ride around and she got us on the hay ride tour. I had a blast that day, even if I was annoyed with the music choices.
Another memory and my favorite is when we went on our senior year cruise ship. Bri and I were bunk mates along with two other friends of ours. We did however have our ups and downs at first but we ended up have the best week ever. We were able to explore the Mayan ruins, eat exotic foods, enjoy fine dinning, pose at different picture places and much more. Me and Brianna were able to bond more while we chilled by the pool exchanging conversations about life, school and boys. Every time I think of our conversations I chuckle just a bit.
Brianna was a good friend who made everyone smile. She made me feel like I was apart of the group when nobody else did. When I found out about Briannas car accident and how she had passed away, I cried for a good week. She was a very special girl who left this world far to soon. She is missed and thought of everyday by millions of people.
