This past week we had something awful happen - Paris had a terrorist attack where 129 people were killed at least 350 people were injured. The world was devastated. But, while we focused on showing our support to Paris, we missed other tragic events that happened in the world. So here's what you missed:

An earthquake in Japan. An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred near Kagoshima, Kyushu, Japan. A tsunami resulted from the earthquake, leaving 2,584 people missing and 230,000 people are homeless, including those still left homeless from the 2011 earthquake. The number of deaths is unknown at this time.

A suicide bombing in Baghdad. A suicide bomber blew himself up at the funeral of a pro-government Shi'ite Muslim fighter, killing at least 18 people and injuring 41.

Two suicide bombings in Beirut. At least four (supposed) ISIS recruits were suicide bombers killing more than 43 people and injuring at least 239 people in Lebanon.

An earthquake in Mexico. A 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit Baja California, Mexico. The damage and amount of deaths is unknown at this time.

So many lives were lost in a twenty-four hour period, and lots of lives will be changed forever. We tend to focus on one event, and not the whole picture. So instead of praying for Paris, pray for Japan, Baghdad, Beirut, and Mexico as well. Pray for the world. Pray for Peace. And Pray for comfort.
