Miss Your Friends, According To How I Met Your Mother

It's a hard knock life for us.

Miss Your Friends, According To How I Met Your Mother
Lily Stinson

Whether they moved away or are traveling the world, missing your friends can take a real toll on your emotional well-being. Your inside jokes go unsaid for long periods of time and your steady stream of adventures slows down to a trickle. It's hard to put into words just what it feels like to live without them, but...

1. There are plenty of tears at the beginning of your time without them.

Figuring out how to cope without them takes some serious time.

2. You do ridiculous things to make their absence seem less evident...

You talk to the characters in the TV show you're watching, you call people on the phone while you're in the store, you high five yourself...

3. ...but life has funny ways of reminding you that they're not there.

Sometimes it seems like it'll throw anything and everything your way.

4. Even with technology, you just can't replace your in person quality time.

You go places and think about all the great times you have and could have spent together.

5. But then they walk through the door...

...and you exchange your signature looks.

6. You're finally together at last!

All is right with the world and you have the time of your lives.

7. The whole world need to know how happy you now that you're together again.

8. Things are finally back to normal.

9. But sooner or later they have to leave again.

But not without telling them how much you're going to miss them and how much they mean to you.

10. It's probably best that no one talk to you once they're gone.

At least for a little while...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
