At the end of 2017, I am hoping to be an official COLLEGE GRADUATE. However excited I may be, I can't help but think about how good I had it when I was in kindergarten (which up until today, thought it was spelled kindergarDen)... ANYWAYS! I realize as I'm working on 30 case reports, three projects, and papers for days, just how nice it would be to just go back to the days when I cried because I had to leave.
1. Nap time!
I mean, the 10-15 minutes in between classes are a nice time to grab a couple of z's. But... of course, you don't because that's "unacceptable."
2. Playing house
It's not fun anymore. Paying bills is not something we did in the house corner of the classroom. It's real.
3. Book buddies
Although I didn't like mine at first, he still read me Barbie books. If I had to pay someone to read any book I pick, it would be my textbooks...
4. Long recess
The only recess I get is walking my dog and walking to class.
5. Cleaning desks with shaving cream
Yup... Shaving cream is too expensive to waste like that now. But I'll never forget how fun it was writing my name in the shaving cream.
6. High fives
Remember when you'd be walking in line and the older students would walk by and just high five you?! Yeah that doesn't happen when you're 21...
7. Snack time
Hahahaha, who am I kidding? I still snack. I actually might snack more and that's a problem.
I'll work on it...
Probably not.
8. P.E.
I don't know why everyone hates P.E. or tries to avoid it! Maybe I only liked it because I'm so competitive it's actually disgusting. Kickball, tag, four square... you name it, I love it.
9. Movie time
We still have movie time in some classes but this was extra snack and nap time in kindergarten!
But, to be honest, the movies in college are a lot better.
10. Graduation
The greatest achievement of kindergarten was graduating. Kindergarten was amazing... I learned the correct way to say crayon (it's not crown), advanced ABC's, how to make friends, what a crush is (John Luke), and, most importantly, it planted a seed for the woman I was going to become.
