Freshmen year of college will be a year I will always remember. It was filled with new friends, new memories and almost a new life. I got to experience life on my own for the first time, and I am so thankful for the people that pushed me to keep going, even when I thought I couldn't do it.
I will miss living in an all freshmen dorm. At first, especially during the first few months, we were all equally clueless, failing and succeeding at being a college student. But, even while stuck in this new world of confusion, we still managed to have fun, besides, all we wanted was to have a best friend that lived two doors down on the same floor.
Completing prerequisites was a good time, an especially good time for someone that went into college unsure of a major. All you had to do was pick classes that interested you and do well in them. Now, as an upcoming sophomore, I need to start thinking and planning a major that I want to pursue, and might I add that I am also an awful decision-maker.
Being the baby of the school is almost like a get-out-of-jail-free card in monopoly. Anytime you have no idea what to do or what is going on whether it be in class or throughout the school, we could just blame it on the fact that we were knew and had no idea how it worked, even if we actually did.
Living next to Philly was probably one of the best parts about being a 15 minute walk away from everything. The gym was far, the MUB was a good distance and frat row was much better when you took an über. But Philly, with late night and my personal favorite, pita pit were right out the door. It was almost a perfect compromise.
Freshmen year was new, fun, and exciting and everyday was an adventure. I met so many amazing people and have had so many memories that have made me into the person I am today. I may no longer be a freshmen, but I have three more years of my college adventure and I can't wait to live it to the fullest.
