Common misconceptions about Capricorns

I am a proud Capricorn born on December 30th, 1994. Nothing bothers me more than logging onto facebook and seeing jacked up meme after jacked up meme about Capricorns. Although Capricorns are well known as the most serious-minded of all the signs, we have and incredible sense of humor and it's always overlooked. We are known to be hilarious, with a notable knack for saying the most clever things at just the right moment. The downfall is that Capricorns have to be the most misunderstood, and ill treated of all of the signs.

Capricorns are cold-hearted. Don't be fooled by "RBF" although we may look evil typically Capricorns are very sweet in nature.

Capricorns are boring and serious all the time. Capricorns can be shy at first and don't have much to say this sometimes comes off as self-centered or standoffish, however, we love to have fun when it's time to have fun! Capricorns are hard workers when it's time to work its time to work as we are disciplined. Although there's an underlying seriousness that never leaves us we are also hilarious!

Capricorns are money hungry. A lot of people perceive Capricorns to be money hungry however we tend to get rich because we are extremely hard working and motivated by the fear of failure or doing without. As a result, many Capricorns make it a point to do well for themselves.

We are ruthless in their ambition and will not stop until they get what they want. Is there such thing as being too ambitious? NO, I don't think so it's because of our ambition that we always come out on top. We work extremely hard in order to provide for the people we love Capricorns value family and friendships.

Caps have a suspicious nature and think everyone is out to get them.Capricorns do have a suspicious nature however it's because we shy away from abandonment and being hurt. Under the surface, we are very emotional and sensitive. Capricorns also tend to have a good judge of character if we say you're a clown and up to no good 9 times out of 10 you are indeed a clown and up to no good. We tend to stay out of unnecessary drama that way.

Caps are their own worst enemies. Capricorns are very intellectual, calculating, and always have a plan to the point where we think and overthink every little thing. We are also so ambitious that we tend to push ourselves harder than anyone else.

I'm a Capricorn and I'm a Pessimistic Percy. Capricorns are said to be born pessimist and a Debbie downer to others. We can be so realistic to the point of pessimism, we overly anticipate the bad things in life, and have a tendency not to expect positive outcomes. We are realists, not Debbie Downers or pessimistic Percy's.

Caps will stick with relationships out of a sense of duty and obligation. Capricorns are loyal to a fault we truly ride for the people we care about. When the going gets tough you can always count on a Capricorn to hold you down.

Stubborn People believe that Capricorns have a "their way or the highway" (scratch that there is no highway option) attitude and that we will seldom change our standpoints and outlooks on something. What others see as stubborn I see as firm in my convictions.

Moody According to Horoscope readings, the Goats can be funny and clever at one moment but annoyed the next. Needless to say, those mood swings are able to make them behave irresponsibly that may ruin anything. I personally get accused of being moody all the time when I'm not feeling any type of way at all or when I just need to be left alone with my thoughts or when. Asking me to adjust my mood is like asking me to be fake and not happening.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
