Millennials Are The Laziest Generation Yet, And It's Time To Change

What happened to the drive, the passion, the motivation to actually do things and take initiative? These traits seem so rare and 'old school' today. I think the millennial generation is the laziest yet.

Before you start bashing me for throwing a label, there are millennials that are hard workers, dreamers, and make things happen in their life. They are just a small percentage of our generation that still has that 'spark.' Cheers to you guys.

HOWEVER, for those who seem to settle, throw a little 'pity party' for themselves and so on. You probably know who I'm talking about. What happened to your passion? Your spark? What dimmed the twinkle in your eyes? I know life hits you, and things can happen to hold you back from achieving things, but that should only stop you...temporarily.

Let me repeat myself, that should only stop you...TEMPORARILY.

What is holding you back from getting back up? There are no such things as excuses. Excuses are just a way of nicely saying that you don't want to do something. As yourself, what is stopping you from achieving your goals? Every single person has their own story and situation. But every single person can have success. If you have the drive and the will, then there definitely is a way. It shouldn't matter how much time it takes to be successful. Just like the saying "it's all about the journey" really is true. Delayed gratification, hard work, determination, and mental toughness are what help you grow.

With that kind of attitude, the opportunities will come looking for you. People will seek you out and look up to you, and that will only drive you more to keep doing what you are doing. Trust me, it's a process but EVERYONE IS CAPABLE. Just like my science teacher said: "Life is like an EKG scan. You have to have ups and downs, otherwise, if there was a flat line there is no life."

Now go out there and make something of yourself. Let's not be known as the 'lazy generation', but the most successful generation this world has ever seen.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
