We're Hundreds Of Miles Apart, But You're Still My Best Friends

To my two best friends...

The impact you two have made on my life is indescribable, and now I only get to see you a few times a year.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of both of you. There is nothing I love more than watching you two accomplish so much and become the most well-rounded versions of yourselves I have ever seen.

You are both making big moves in your social, professional, and academic lives, and I get to admire you from afar.

In high school, we were practically inseparable. Inside of school and out, there was always something to be doing and we were always doing it together. From "city-slicking" to watching movies on my couch to late-night fast food runs, it was always the three of us.

Once it came time to leave for college, we knew our friendship would be harder to maintain since we were all going to different colleges hundreds of miles apart. We try to keep up in a group text, but we're all so busy.

I watched as you both made such incredible new friends, and although I am so proud, I can't help but be jealous.

I want nothing more than to continue to grow in friendship and in life with the two of you. I can't possibly imagine having a more cohesive, understanding, fun-loving group of friends, but our lives are all heading in different directions.

I just want you both to know that no matter where our lives take us, you two will always be my best friends. Although we are only able to see each other briefly during the holidays, I will never take our time together for granted. I will always make time to check in on my two favorite people, and when we finally get a chance to meet up it will feel like no time has passed at all.

Finally, I just wanted to thank you both for all the great memories and continuing to make an effort to be a part of my life. Thank you for showing me your college lives and continuing to be the great people I have always known you to be. Thank you for everything.

I am so lucky to be blessed with such great friends, and no amount of distance can change that. I hope to see you both soon!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
