It's here. Brace yourself, midterms have arrived. No matter your major, you're drowning in exams, papers and group projects. In addition to your assignments, it's starting to get really cold and you basically never want to leave the cocoon of blankets on your bed. Forget about that resolution to go the gym three times a week because your body is lucky if you feed it something other than coffee and Easy Mac for the next week. Luckily, the cast of The Office understands your pain.
Naturally, you've started an addictive new show on Netflix and want to dedicate every minute you're not in class to watching it.
Your friends in your major ask you for your notes from the day after you randomly decided to go out on a Tuesday, just to give you shit for skipping class on a Wednesday.

In order to learn the devilishly complicated information needed for your exams, you've started watching educational YouTube tutorials. By the third video, you can't handle the smug face of the instructor and consider punching your laptop.
You're at the library until 2 a.m., and after the long, frigid walk home, you're not even sure you're an actual person anymore because you feel like a frozen zombie.
After you spend eight hours slaving over your notes and actually reading the textbook, you feel like you could answer any question your professor might throw at you.
But then you take your exam and almost nothing that you studied is on it. You try to hold yourself together when you hand it in but almost lose it when your TA gives you a sad smile.
After you take your first midterm you're not able to form coherent sentences because your mind is mush from all of the intense pressure it has been under. Any words besides "sleep" and "food" make no sense.
You come home to write a paper that's due at midnight and realize you have a group project meeting in an hour. Luckily, your roommate is slaving over a paper due the next day and doesn't judge you for laying face down on floor of your living room.
You run into your friends while you're getting more coffee and they ask you why they haven't seen you at the gym this week because "exercise is such a great stress reliever."
You finally finish your paper at turn it in at 11:59 p.m., only to get a reminder email that you also have to bring a printed copy. Of course, the printer at the library is jammed and you have no ink at home.
Now that your roommate has turned in her paper, she is on a Netflix binge and you can't help but join her instead of studying for the exam you have tomorrow.
You have to take control in your group project because you trust no one with your grades, especially not the degenerates in your group. Your group members are blowing up the group message with idiotic questions about citations and you can't resist responding passive aggressively.
You consider intentionally getting hit by a car on your walk to your exam, just so you don't have to take it.
After a week (or two) from hell your friends decide they'd rather stay in than go out this weekend. You're not sure what you did to deserve this betrayal but you're not having it.
In the end, you do really love your major and wouldn't trade these four years of poor decisions and sleep deprivation for anything. Good luck on midterms!
